    Slight old.

    VirMach had some great VPS deals in 2018.

  • What's crazy is they are still going, and many updated to Ryzen now...

    Still, Virmach needs to hire some support, seems like he's trying to do everything himself sometimes. Maybe interns: hobbyists that want to get experience on their resume, willing to work for peanuts.

    I have got three vps with them, and continue to renew for next year, look like everything is stable again, uptime for least 2 month

    the good surprise was on a renewal of BF2021
    This kvm which was at $39/y went to $19.53/y,
    A billing error? I just didn't get it 😛

    Perhaps it was part of the "doubling" VirMach gave to many thread participants here.

    Yes, the duration of this year's sale is exceptionally small, and I've already purchased a hosthatch.

    Virmach DOES NOT visit this forum - posting of tickets on here is wasting your time.
    Also Virmach has said you should only have open 1 ticket as multiple tickets will get merged and lowered in priority.
    If it is a priority then you can open a priority ticket however you may be charged for this if it is not priority.

  • Another Black Friday bargain provider throws in the towel.

    Got email from GestionDBI that they will no longer be providing VPS or shared hosting after February.

    Dear customer,

    As you know, 2022 has been a difficult year for the economy. Almost everything has been touched by the inflation, and our core business has not been saved.
    All our servers parts, transit provider, data center, colocation and licences fees have been increasing in the past 2 years. We had absorbed almost all the increase to avoid giving that price increase to our customers. in the past 2 years. We had absorb almost all the increase to avoid giving that price increase to our customers.

    Unfortunately, is no more possible for us to continue doing this.

    After a long reflexion, we came to the decision to focus on our main core business, which is to provide IT and Telecom consulting services and managed IT infrastructure.
    Following this, we will stop providing hosting services ourself. This includes web hosting and VPS hosting.

    If you received this email, that's mean the services listed below are impacted:

    ====================

    (List of my services with them)

    ====================

    All services will be terminated on Febuary 11, 2023.

    If your billing period is already paid passed this date, we will issue prorated refund.
    If you wish to terminate your service before that date, please contact our team by ticket to proceed the cancellation and prorated refund.

    If you currently have credits stored inside of your account, please contact our team by ticket to issue an arrangement.

    We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and be sure we will stay at your disposal until then for any question our support assistance you may need.
