Hardware tests ran by our datacenter have confirmed that the issue is indeed caused by a failed RAM stick. We are currently working with our on-site staff to have this replaced as soon as possible.
Earlier this year, the sheer amount of push-ups broke a Ryen.
However, this server contains no push-ups.
Blame the YABS gang for RAM failures.
@deank , how many hours of downtime entitles us to start PMS?
Yeah it's too small for Debian 10 and 11, they're above 5GB templates. And Debian 9 most likely works because it is 5GB or below.
666 seconds.
I'd usually also lose my mind by right about now but [A] we're not going to have to deal with this level of incompetency soon and [B] we actually probably will because we still have to deal with remote hands, etc.
(Message above is not from us, it's from the company which shall not be named.)
The monitor vps7 VirMach ATL (107.175.115.xxx) is back UP (Host Is Reachable) (It was down for 37 hours and 56 minutes).
Event timestamp: 2022-03-08 04:24:57 UTC+0
38 hours of downtime, so the company who shall not be named needs to do 38 push-ups in my honor.
YAAS
maybe another resident top provider gonna takeover
sir, before this reinstall attempt, I had Debian 9 upgraded to debian 11 by myself. the df -hl command shows, only 2.7Gb of disk has been used, so it seems 5GB disk is enough to run.
thank you for the reply, could you please provide the previous debian 9 option in the reinstall function again?
Best Regards
sir, thank you for the suggestion, I'm a noob and can only use the reinstall function.
clueless about the iso install.
Thanks!
You can re-install Debian 9 and then upgrade if that works for you. Otherwise you can mount the ISO and all you have to do is installing it while viewing the VNC.
Debian 10 or 11 may be smaller than 5GB but the image for it isn't. The image is probably 6GB or 7GB which is why it doesn't work. The image will always be a little bit larger than the size of the OS files.
sir, I just tried both with Debian9. the trouble shooter shows that main ip offline, node online, and VNC is black screen. Cannot configure the network by myself
We were able to get a deal worked out for Chicago. It'll still most likely be set up last. I think we should be able to migrate everyone there directly but if there's a delay you may still be moved to another location temporarily.
Japan storage server is done.
I was able to cram in 4 extra drives, so for Japan it's going to be 16 x 18TB, in RAID10, about 134TB of usable space. It's using a 5950X and 3200MHz DDR4 RAM. They will be the same price and bandwidth amounts as our regular storage plans (and 10Gbps port.)
I'm adding in a 7,400MB/s Gen4 NVMe here as well for caching but that hasn't been tested yet.
Can I migrate my current one in Buffalo to Japan?
looking good, any lg?

Wait... storage plans are coming back?
Awesome @VirMach
How can I order a storage box here?
Same question
Any preorder for the storage box?
Are you using the html5 VNC in the SolusVM panel ? If so, it may be broken (SolusVM bug) and you should try using something like tightVNC or similar.
Page 524 reminds me of the good old Error 524 during VirMach's sales...

My 5GB VPS with them always ends in failure when using netboot.xyz or reinstall from solusvm (ubuntu 20.04). Reinstall works from client area but the latest they have there is Ubuntu 16.04.
Installing Ubuntu 20.04 from netboot.xyz needs at least 1.5 GB RAM because the entire ISO image must be loaded into the RAM.
If you don't have sufficient RAM, you should switch to Debian 11, which could install with 512MB RAM.
That would explain why it keeps failing.
Thanks sir, I tried to reinstall three times, the finally it succeeded.
I'm happy that you were able to get it working.
really grateful to you attention. have a good day sir!
