So how can i join this flash sales?

  • @VirMach said: We're expecting half of Buffalo to move to NYC and half of it to move elsewhere, mainly Japan and Netherlands, but also Chicago. So I'd say about a 15% minimum chance you can move to Japan.

    only Buffalo be migrated?
Will the original VPS in other regions also be migrated?

It's "Asia Optimized" network blend, yes, but best effort only.

Migration could actually be easier for us when it is offered.

    GIVE SALE @VirMach

Still working hard to make it happen but always assume it'll be at 11:59PM and not 12:01AM.

    Update...

    Dallas is arriving on Friday.
    Phoenix is arriving on Friday.

Denver and Seattle additional servers arriving Saturday.

Atlanta will now be around Wednesday next week.

San Jose has already arrived, awaiting DC techs. Really hoping this gets done for the sale.

Going to try to pack up Tokyo and finalize all the paperwork and maybe schedule a pickup (optimistically) tomorrow (Friday.) And try to at least get a few servers out to every other location as well but we're not exactly known for pulling off magic tricks when it comes to timing.

Amsterdam is getting Ryzen servers shipped today via air freight, barring any complications. I'm attempting to get a storage node in with them.

Atlanta is getting servers shipped today via ground freight, barring any complications.

Tokyo will most likely be sent on Saturday if possible, or today if the above two go smoothly. Paperwork still being done.

    Update/re-iterating previous information:

San Jose has had all the servers there since around March 2nd, but still waiting to be racked. They had some issues with the rails. We're awaiting an update from 3-4 days ago.

Seattle servers already on-site are being wrapped up in terms of configuration today, more are sent and on the way, arriving Saturday. No delays seen in shipping.

Phoenix is getting more IP addresses assigned, so we should be able to use existing servers and a few more servers are arriving today, pending setup. No delays seen in shipping.

Denver is getting a few servers on Saturday, already shipped. No delays seen in shipping.

Dallas is getting a few servers arriving today, pending setup. No delays seen in shipping.

Sale will still most likely be posted today but please assume most spots are waiting on incoming shipments or setup by datacenter hands. Phoenix and Seattle will have some limited "immediate" space but I recommend selecting the location you prefer the most as they should all be there very soon. Any location that doesn't have a shipment sent or packaged and ready to be scheduled for shipping will not be listed on the sale.

LA and NYC Metro will follow shortly after. There's a ton of hardware ready for these locations and we'll have plenty of space but these will most likely not initially be offered for the sale. If there's a high demand, we'll open these up for pre-orders, as long as you understand that they may arrive after most the others. Los Angeles may still begin being set up around Sunday. NYC Metro may arrive sometime next week.

If I forgot a location or you have questions let me know.

We will honor refunds for the sale, within 7 days. If you don't like what you receive, or don't receive a deployment, you can cancel for a full refund within 7 days per our normal refund policy. This means if you've received a refund in the past though that you will not qualify, as per usual policy (but I'm willing to make exceptions in cases where there are any unexpected delays.) After the 7 day period, you're locked in and basically agreeing to wait an indefinite amount of time even if everything goes wrong and we will not be able to answer your tickets to provide any personal updates, etc, but I expect most of it to go smoothly. These are new servers and while not "beta" there will always be a small chance of hardware acting up, including network equipment. They will be tested, functional, and essentially brand new, however, in cases of something going wrong, be prepared to wait longer than usual for it to be fixed. After a few weeks, we expect everything to be stable and parts on hand for replacement, and disaster recovery backups functional. Until then, I would recommend against using the service for anything important, and as always, and perhaps more than ever, make sure you keep your own backups and another service on hand should things go wrong.

Yes, a lot are being migrated. It's not all going according to plan and we may have to scramble the priority for certain things but everyone will get their chance.

    @Astro said:

Yes, they're mostly waiting on Seattle being finalized, the few nodes still being configured. They're online and functional, and networking is functional, it just needs SolusVM set up.

I'm trying to work in some time to review the tickets for existing ones and then adding in any from the pending upgrades from the wheel spins. This was supposed to all be done sooner but I'm focusing on actually getting all these serves out very quickly as it will be beneficial to all.

San Jose has a low chance of being eligible for Tokyo at this time. It has enough servers and IP addresses to mostly migrate everyone though so it also has a very high chance of a quick migration to Ryzen.

If it is a popular selection for this sale, then we can push some existing clients to Tokyo instead if they wish. There's a high chance this will happen but it I say low chance overall because I'd say 70% of customers will remain in San Jose if they're in San Jose right now. Los Angeles has a high chance of being offered San Jose so if you really really want, the smart thing to do right now would be to migrate without data to Tokyo if the migration fee is not important to you and you want to increase your chances.

Please keep in mind all of this can change, I don't want anyone migrating to Los Angeles and then being upset that they didn't get selected or San Jose got selected more. I'm speaking very unofficially here.

Additional Disclaimer: All of this was written very quickly, it may have a lot of errors with days and location names.

Sale will be posted only after shipments go out today for scheduled pickups. So this means no sale until at least 3PM here in Los Angeles. Even if they go out sooner than 3PM, I promise not to post the sale until at least 3PM, I don't want you guys wasting any time refreshing the pages before that time.
