    It's tempting me to replace my current server with them but would love to see one with some more storage space and I wouldn't mind if it's a SSD. Will have to wait for the black friday offers from @PHP_Friends. I'm sure they won't disappoint.

    That's not really that uncommon. Have you ever had a phone plan? The term is usually 12 or 24 months, but you pay monthly. Same with some internet providers - The plan I'm on with my ISP has a 1 year contract with monthly payments.

    Exactly. Contract is for 1 year, but you pay 30 euro now and 30 euro after 6 months.

    Netcup does same thing.

    What is their cancellation policy?

    Do I have to write a letter, get it notarized from notary public and then sent via certified mail at least 2 years before cancellation?
