Would you want to hype my PSU coin with me? It works really simple. I'll drive PSU prices up for no reason, I get the money and y'all get the shaft
I want blood coin.
The less blood you have in your veins, the better chance of getting a coin.
Hes releasing it from the 21m wallet. People are reporting stuck/pending status while this guy continues to dump his hoard lmao.
I can already see the ebay titles "8tb hdd for sale, only used once"
This is even legal if i interpret EU laws right (...i usually do...), as you don't scam anyone - They buy at their own will, and if you keep the network online the pricing is the users problem...
Jesus motherfuck. I should have mined.
I'm calling that it'll go down to $10.
I don't see why it should branded as scam or even illegal. Riding a hype train is entirely his own choice. There is no contract, only willingness.
A pretty good and safe trick.
This drama is boring
Step 1: Buy up thousands of PSU’s
Step 2: Create a new coin based on PSU and hype it, so PSUs will become more expensive
Step 3: Keep 100 million coins for yourself
Step 4: Sell your PSUs with 200% markup
Step 5: Dump your coins
Double profit.
For now it is boring, because people have not officially lost money... yet. Indeed, it would be much more exciting if founders would cash out during the next day, while the price is still high.
People actually start to loose money as XCH is dopping each hour more and more and no stabilization is seen.

people who bought futures on this for +1k can't be helped anyways...
apart from that it probably depends on what you calculated for when investing. I would say the curve that can be seen is very feasible in the end. after all there was more or less just hot air talking out of them creators in the AMA yesterday. but hey - they are planning on doing that for the 'rest of their lifes' 🤷♂️
anyway, people would need to get their CHIAs to the exchange first, before they can even trade with it, so you need to register/verify and whatnot. this will take a bit of time and then it might drop even faster just because of the availability then.
'small farmers' were defined by BC as people below 1/1000 ... 1/5000 - ah, let's say 1/10000 of netspace aka ~200TB right now. you could literally see how he made that up from thin air on the go and only noticed when starting to calculate that he needs to go lower/correct himself.
however, those small guys are probably not doing the efforts with the two mediocre exchanges available and still hoping for pools (and more exchanges) to appear soon (which has been teased for a timeframe of 2-3 weeks but nothing concrete).
yet for pooling you are going to need to re-plot your lottery tickets, because they are bound to your public key and can't be 'transferred'...
so yeah. apart from the overrated initial value that no one is really going to profit from, seems more like another mediocre alt coin so far. technical concept is still interesting.
Pools are for end of year. Being able to generate “pool able plots” is a few weeks.
They said it themselves that they were hoping for this level of growth by end of year, not day 1.
Francisco
yeah, maybe they got carried away, however Bram said things like 'plotting against a singleton' might become available this week (which is the requirement to use your plots with pools) and 'releasing pool protocols' is two-three weeks...
no worries, I don't believe that and expect to take longer. you also need someone to build these pools afterwards and somehow gain trust and traction. in the end this is nothing new to the crypto world but rather just another coin thing. it simply was hyped more because they managed to recreate the fantasies of average joe being able to earn millions with his p0rn-collection harddrive.
As always, time will tell. So far I haven't seen anything really bad as many were predicting $10-$20 on the start anyway, and this was not discouraging. We'll have to wait and see where the price settles to actually be in a position to judge the outcome.
Well this thread at the very least is popcorn worthy lol
Just the fact that some people are so enthusiastically hating and dissing it means that they are onto something big
not worth it now.
Loose money = good (protip, think of "goose" and you'll always remember when to use "lose")
Lose money = bad
Note to self, start Porn Coin. It'll have 69 million coins.
Too late.
Chia is falling quite a bit today. Down ~20% in 24 hours. Hopefully a lower price and large committed space will discourage people from buying too many drives.

it's gonna go down much further over the next days and weeks. the demand isn't that big, so even the so called whales need to put their coins on the market only slowly if the do not want to crash the price immediatly. there are enough coins in free wallets already to provide for the demand for the foreseeable future and unless there are any important news soon, the interest will decrease.
everyone who is making ROI calculations based in the prices right now is probably not good at economics apart from missing the luck/lottery part in all of it.
that said, people who already have plots in the lottery do not have a real reason to turn off their farmers now (unless it's rented storage). should be interesting to see, how the netspace growth develops...
Are contabos hdds up by 50% already? I thought the 12tb hdd would be 30euro/m, now it's 47euro/m.
Well, prepare yourselves for serious HDD shortage
After sharp fall, Chia has gone up in price significantly.
It's over $1000 now.
I think we all know what it means.
The end ... ?
... of availability of HDDs? Yes.
Well, at least for some time, but I might be wrong.
E.g. one of the suppliers in the uk had Seagate ST16000NE000 IronWolf Pro 16TB 4 pack at £1600 just 3 days ago. Now they are all gone and the price is set to £1953.
@javax1, nah, I guess you missed that part. Probably because it's older than any crypto currency.
Maybe @deank can help you out.
Personally I hope someday people will use their brains and (probably even more important) Earth's ressources again for more useful things than crypto currencies.
It's just greed. Simple and basic greed, the flaw of our nature.
The end is dickly nigh.
