Great. Then take this offer for 2 TB, and only use 500G. You can create an encrypted partition of only 500G and use that to encrypt your data, in case you need encryption. The rest of 1.5TB can be used for something else, like backups, or be donated to some non-profit project for human evolution.
Don't get this started. I have been using HostHatch for about three years they have always delivered. The delivery dates are estimates, and sometimes they are a little off, but I am always happy with what I get, and it is more then worth the wait.

Doesn't solve the location problem. It seems he already has something in LA and wants a second VPS in order to use the private LAN connection between them. Can't do that if he gets a storage VPS in Chicago.

NVMe is best option for wordpress, because its fast IO. Play very well with any caching mechanisms.

Depends. Humanity may have evolved in computing power and silicon, but we still watch pictures, videos, and listen to music from websites.
Personally, I still love hard-disks. 100MB/s on a hard disk is more than enough for a 1gbps bandwidth server. And if I get to use the whole 1gbps network on a website, then at that point I must be having an extremely popular website, which calls for an investment in dedicated server with multiple redundancies and guaranteed high bandwidth.

I doubt wordpress can handle a 2TB website, and running database on HDD is generally a bad idea. Finally, I strongly suggest you go with shared hosting.
