We should rather have a too fast then a too slow start... since people tend to fade and desert with time... such is life :open_mouth:

Yeah, that what I'm expecting too. Let's see. But christmas is really close, so probably that the hype will only go higher.

VirMach will be bringing EU deals around Christmas allegedly so more hype coming.

Let's take it to page 2000

You just make it to 200.

  • Yeah, so I don't worry too much

  • Yay for 200 and that lifetime free dedi!

  • Hmmm yes I was supposed to get only EU ones this year... now I have a dozen US ones... addiction... it's real

    Dozen!

  • It's real.

  • Yeah I struck it rather lucky with the cheap ones... not expecting to get them, but somehow despite some 502's I got most of the ones I went for... and after everyone I told myself... ok... STOP... I already have too many... and then... and then... sigh

  • ZA_capetown said: Hmmm yes I was supposed to get only EU ones this year... now I have a dozen US ones... addiction... it's real

I hope you rich, EU still coming :dizzy:

Oh, the -90% is gone, wanted to save it for EU, sad story :<

  • since we need to do posts... let me list mine in order of price...

Sure, explanation for 3 of the eggs

    90% off recurring SSD512

    1. Go to this comment: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3061019#Comment_3061019
    2. There are lots of coupon codes there by hovering on the dots symbol, but only one of them is real
    3. The real one is the last dot in the 4th line: EASTEREGG312019201 (Trial and error)
    4. Reading other lines will give you hint on how to use it (SSD512 on 2nd line, Annual on 6th line)

I'm guessing this one was edited later to pull the discount rate all the way down to zero, right? (when the quota was reached probably)? I remember trying it (before it was made public), and got the rate that someone also posted a screenshot of: 0%! :)

  • Oh wait, only 11 from US and 1 in EU, in my current collection

So mine in order from cheap to less cheap:

    $2
    $3.99
    $4.95
    $4.99
    $5.02
$5.60 (actually EU VPS renewal from BF2018)
    $6.49
    $9.90
    $12
    $12
$14.85 (OVZ conversion renewal from BF2018)
$56.69 (the free for a year coupon)

How could I resist those cheap ones at the top?
    I am weak.
    Addiction is real.

Pretty disappointing 2019. I spent a week next to laptop and only got a single ok deal. I will not be wasting my time next year. It appears that humans can't get any deal and the bots get them all. Bots go on to resale the deals. Pretty big mess.

It's not all bad. Humans are still in the game. I'm no bot and I used no scripts to get my deals - I got both the last deals ($5.02 and $2). I only ever tried about 5 deals since the games began and failed to get the first three and got the last two.

If it helps put things in perspective; I'm in a location with 250 ms latency to Buffalo where the billing servers probably are. And no one who knows me would consider me lucky.

I'm in SoCal, and did better than last year for getting things I tried to get. I was able to get the $20.39 no-brainer 8c/2.5gbram in buffalo, the $7.01 Chinese title in LA, and the $6.49 1c/768mb/10gb/1tb in Atlanta. Last year, the only good flash deal I grabbed was 2c/2gb/10gb/1tb for $8.79 in LA, plus a discounted Pro+ from the LEB sale and a mediocre deal or two not worth listing.

I think it's still undefined what is KVM lite is. That include OVZ conversion, plan from the special plan and maybe flash sale. Do it will be a regular product ? I doubt.

Well here is what @VirMach specifically said it was...

KVM Lite is just our way of saying it might come with a shrunken disk (some of them don't right now) and it doesn't have any of the premium support feature set of KVM premium plans. That means no custom ISO, no Windows, no dedicated CPU or high IO options, no 10Gbps, lower available locations, no extra IPs, no extra disk space or other customization.

I was more referring about what can be called KVMlite. Like are these flash are ?

I think the only ones that the LITE eggs apply to are the 6 "KVM Lite" offers on the special offers page: https://virmach.com/special-offers

I guess, but still. Are flash deal KVM lite or discounted normal vps without add-on allowed ?

Flash deals are normal KVM, the only KVM Lite packages were on the special offers page. Lite packages actually have a flag on them, inside SolusVM they hide the list of iso's on the cdrom tab, while the flash deals do not. Of course, you can just call _vm_remote_options() yourself in a web console to mount an ISO still, if you know what's available.

That sounds actually quite a bit of work to make out ehh? But, considering people managed to make it dead anyway, people just wanted SSD512 for $2.5/yr..

    I mean dedicated core actually.
