Only thing I'm not a fan of at VirMach is that Windows imaging is manual rather than being able to do it through SolusVM. I created a ticket to get Windows Server 2016 and support installed 2008 so now I need to wait for them to reply again
Oh well.
Thanks for the awesome sale @VirMach! That was a wild ride.
There were a few, I bought one. I'm going to try to get rid of it and another from last BF.
@VirMach I'm having a tough time going about my day, waiting for Paid Invoice #470764 to go active so I can play with my new toy.
Thank you for all the great deals! $24 finally came back to me.
I'm sure there's plenty of people looking to snag extras. I'm hoping to pick up something tiny in San Jose from someone who ended up grabbing something more powerful later, personally. Speaking of, if anyone grabbed something small in the $6-$9 range in San Jose who doesn't want it, I'm looking. OVZ or KVM, low bw/space is fine but would prefer 1gb+ ram and 2 cores.
I have seen it for $8 at last clock!!! but who TOOK IT! LOL
But I TOOK IT For $24!!! hopefully you don't suspend my vps! I am new user under virmach but I will just use them for my website development purpose. I heard so many negative review how you randomly auto suspend user because of abusing resources.
Also facing some issues with SSH not working after reboot and already discussing over the ticket. (don't worry)
And extremely thanks for the DEALS! Took 3
I think there were none today when these crazy good deals started raining?
That's what I was referring to.
If anyone has a VPS matching these requirements (maybe a little loosely) and wants to transfer to me I will be willing to pay the transfer fee:
KVM
1GB RAM
15GB+ SSD
Los Angeles / Seattle
~ $7/year
Thanks!
Can also trade for the following if you pay the transfer fee:
KVM
3072 MB RAM
3x CPU
15 GB SSD
1TB BW
Chicago
$12/year
I'm not sure I'll be able to regain my sanity after having the Await.App running in the background for like 20h!
On the other hand, it actually felt good having someone whispering sweet things to me...
Thanks @VirMach (and @ddhhz )!
Only got 2 BF deals, one in Dallas and one in Frankfurt.
If you want to grab some, you could PM me..
Glad you found it useful!
These transfers are going to be more annoying than the provider poll gift exchange.
Next year there should be a "non-transferrable" tag for all BF offers to prevent people from picking up anything and everything.
Sales end and you guys turn this place into a swap meet
This flash sale is an interesting experiment. It has addictive effects, like a game. I am sure they exchanged quite a bit of their existing inventories for cash. I think It would normally take them quite a while to achieve these kinds of results in such a short time.
I am sure others would try to follow and host their flash sales.
I see the options to reinstall windows

As long as @VirMach got they money, no issue..
Guys I don't want to bother VirMach support since they probably have hundreds of tickets, so if someone can answer me here. I've installed ubuntu desktop and tried to login with putty port 22 SSH type and username root, password the one which solus showed before reinstallation, but when I enter the password, I get access denied every time. Am I doing something wrong?
Sorry for the question here, this is my first Linux VPS. I have Win VPS, but never had problem like this.
Pretty sure Solus has a 'Change Password' option. Give that a shot and see if it helps. I'm semi-recalling running into this issue in the past as well.
also because it's ubuntu the login is probably ubuntu, not root ;-)
I've used it once, so ended up with a couple passwords. Even that I changed root password, old one is still on virmach's website when I click on "Show", but I manage to login somehow, I didn't change anything really, maybe it was something on their end.
I see @VirMach went pretty nuts in last few offers. (We still have SSD32G easter egg valid if someone can figure it out and urban legends says there is one more easter egg, that no one noticed). Even including our favorite authors in this topic :-).
The only thing that makes me sad (ok, on top of not sniping last few deals)... it's this.
So close, yet so far... I guess next Black Friday.
Special (NOT Flash) deals are still live! They are decent most of the times, not "EPIC GOOD", but still pretty nice.

Connect through VNC and see if everything looks OK - There might be an error on the screen, or perhaps the SSH server failed to start. I usually don't use the images and instead just mount an ISO and manually install the OS myself. You can mount Linux ISOs in SolusVM.
I'd definitely recommend using an SSH key instead of a password to connect. If you use GitHub with an SSH key, the Ubuntu installer has a useful feature to import your SSH public keys from your GitHub account.
I think this Windows installation only works in Buffalo?
If it's Ubuntu, it's likely this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssh/+bug/45234
There were a few posts the other day about problems with ubuntu's ssh failing after updates and a restart, and this came up.
Threads will start popping up in 3-6 months - "Selling Virmach BF $8/year 6 months remaining - $35 ONO"
VirMach said to do it!
I don't see it as an option for any of my VPSes in Buffalo.
I do see a Windows option for an older VPS I have in LA (one I got around two years ago), but only for Server 2012. I don't see 2008 or 2016.

Strange, I'm only seeing Server 2012 in Atlanta as well, but Buffalo gives me all flavors (2008, 2012 & 2016). Might be node related then. My Buffalo VM is on NY10GKVM2.
How much SSD disk does your Atlanta one have?
Am I late for the party?
