Interesting, when did you got your server?
Yesterday, i received the details @12:28 UTC +1
Wow, that's very great!
So it's 1TB local or iSCSI?
As mentioned, i've got 1TB local but it should have been iSCSI.
Apparently, it was a price miscalculation, they wont deliver it to me for 4.99.
If my money is not back in 24 hours, they get a chargeback + bad rating.
What a shithole, will be my second chargeback this year, neat.
Ended up with a paypal dispute, no server or refund received.
Lets see.
Someone mentioned Terrahost.no on another thread, I noticed they have servers around $25 (yeah it's not under $20 I know)...has anyone used them before and can say how their experience was?
I can't understand this.
I've never had problems with servdiscount. I receive my servers and they work always fine.
Even this 4,99€ server rocks 900mbit up and down easily.
Gbps for 4,99€, I can't complain.
Well, as far as I know, multiple people ordered this server.
As I got told, it was a billing issue, aka someone did put the server for a low price on the website.
The thing is, everyone who ordered this server, as I am aware, got a confirmation of the order. Which means they accept your order.
So, they are then bound to deliver, since they accepted it.
Apparently no one checks the incoming orders on plausibility.
What I think, is after they deployed a few orders, they noticed oh there is a mistake.
Look at the website, they got the server with the same specs available to buy.
It seems to be they stopped deploying these orders, instead, they contact us, and offered us a other server.
Which costs double the price, the ticket had also multiple errors in it.
Until today, no server and no money.
Even that they told me, they will deliver it for 4.99.
@graphic @Neoon I have had servDiscount and Webtropia for a while (same company). The servers had a slow hard disk, because they use network linked hard disks instead of physical, dedicated ones.
I had two servers with the VAT shifted because it was on my business name. 3 months later they told me I had to pay 30 EUR of tax. I told them I am a business and then got told they lost my proof and so they had to invoice me.
Lucky enough, I could prove them they accepted the proof a few months earlier. I ended up with a waived bill. Anyway, servDiscount has so-so servers and their billing department is very incapable.
I know that servDiscount is on Kimsufi level, but apparently it seems to be even a bit lower.
Lets see if they respond tomorrow to the dispute.
They will. A very annoying billing department employee will tell you you’ll still have to pay the invoice, because they made one.
Also filing a dispute might be enough to ban you from their services. Be careful
Thats good news.
They could yea, but I do not give a single fuck, if they kick me or not.
After 7 days, a bad rating, the crm contact me.
It was solved in less then 30 minutes, apparently SEO is a bitch.
Server delivered for 4.99.
They've certainly changed their offers since last week: https://servdiscount.com/en.html
Arguably, the prices are still pretty good for what you get, but now nothing is under €25.
Thats normal, that happens from time to time.
I see. So you think that they'll offer servers for under €10 again? (I haven't followed servdiscount's practices.)
Are you sure its local? I messured the latency of my "local" 500GB HDD, its iSCSI.
Also, apparently its a 2.5TB MM0500GBKAK
Its like Kimsufi, just out of stock.
But I would not order there anymore.
Very useful. Thanks
Sorry for the late answer..
Can you please try this command iscsiadm --mode session
I mean your server..
I know but i want to know if this command gives you output because i've got no open session so i think it's local.
I know that my storage is iSCSI its such garbage slow and has a high latency.
Ok then mine is indeed local, it's really fast. Roughly about 175mb/s.

Sigh. Another early morning necro.
Indubitably. Well, that's just the way the crap-cookie crumbles sometimes.
I tried oneprovider, nocix, wholesale and Kimsufi
