@CVPS_Chris Hi Chris, long time no see...
Yep, about what I figured since Kevin likely dual rolls and you help where you can.
Outsourced support is common since it's cheap. All but a few of the managed providers out there have inhouse, US, based support. TMZ is outsourced, vpslatch was and probably still is, etc.

I don't think it is anymore.
I personnally don't care about this thread but there is at least two things true:
1) there was a lot of packet loss in March (during a dozen of days in total), first in Atlanta, later in Chicago.
2) the template debian 6/32 is broken (IMHO), as it is not clean. It contains unofficial apt sources and packages, leading to a lot of uncompatibilities and problems.
4 total, I mean 4 seperate techs. 5 including myself.
Quoted. Thank you for confirming.
Hahahaha
Yeah they keep saying otherwise but it's pretty obvious. They're following the old hostlatch business plan.
See, I get fed lots of info on these people that I take swings at. I don't do it blindly, never have. I always have full proof.

Did you have CSF installed on your server? Any evidence of this? Feel free to email me at: [email protected]
Can you elaborate, perhaps show some SSH snippets? I appreciate your time and apologize for any inconvenience you may have witnessed, email me and let's get to the bottom of this! Like others have mentioned in this thread this is definitely not the normal here and we have many satisfied clients.
As for @Socially_Uncensored I'm still awaiting your approval to publish the full ticket of GSE-280224 since you decided to censor and only show a partial screenshot, and still awaiting Screencast video proof, the amount of positive reviews you're doing on some of the other top LEB providers to try to gain credibility and offset what you did here is obvious and members are already calling you out on this
Thanks,
Kevin
@CVPS_Kevin The "I don't care what you have to say about nothing" factor is so large.... That I don't think my ego over your stupidity could fit into a single post
ChicagoVPS Kevin said "Did you have CSF installed on your server? Any evidence of this? Feel free to email me at: [email protected]"
I guess the evidence of the packet loss in Atlanta Kevin would be your own acknowledgement that Atlanta had problems. Your CSF comment in response to hostingwizard's comment is complete crap because you know perfectly well that the Atlanta problems were due to a ColoCrossing switch that couldn't handle the traffic loads.
As I was writting this:
928 packets transmitted, 901 received, 2% packet loss, time 927875ms"_

So, I guess the big question is Kevin, did you have CSF installed on your overloaded switch last month? . //rolls eyes
I don't know what to say, you continue to beat around the bush and attempt to detour the subject with such rude remarks. If your goal is to try to tarnish our reputation, you're only killing your own personal reputation with remarks like this.
Same via our ticketing system, you failed to remain professional and continued to be unappreciative towards our staff despite the fact we helped you over YOUR CSF install (3rd party issue) at no cost which was causing the packet loss. To then blame the packet loss to be something on our end isn't fair as it was your own CSF installation causing ICMP requests to be rate limited to begin with.
Hi DomainBop,
Thanks for your concern and I admire your research, however please note that while he mentioned Atlanta, he mentioned Chicago too, and we never had such problems in Chicago which is why I suspect it was a CSF problem all along with him as well, but I'm only assuming! He should email me at [email protected] so I can look further into this for him and see exactly what happened. As it stands right now I have no way of identifying who he is as I don't have means to do so (such as ticket ID, email on file, previous VPS IP, etc) which is why I wanted him to email me to clear up any outstanding and/or past issues.
Additionally please take in mind the Atlanta issues happened for about a week only due to us awaiting a switch replacement, this was resolved promptly once the new switch arrived and everything has been stable ever since. I'm sure other clients who are in Atlanta can confirm as well.
Additionally @Socially_Uncensored VPS wasn't located in Atlanta so this has nothing to do with it
All other locations have always been stable.
Let me know if there is anything else I can clear up, have a great rest of your evening.
Thanks,
Kevin
@CVPS_Kevin Sorry for the late answer. I never used CSF. I haven't kept logs but it was a partial packet loss (6-20%), not continuous and lasted approximately 3 days around March 16th. The configuration has never changed since it was recreated (after CVPS got compromized) and has worked well enough before and also after this network problem. I never open tickets for network issues (I expect the provider to know about it). Since then, both chicago and atlanta have been quite stable.
OT: If I were to open a ticket every time I detect a problem, I would open 5-10 tickets a day (because of the amount of VPS I'm renting).
