How can browsing a website through VPN can make it load faster? Comprezzion?
Different routing. Can definitely help. A while ago (1+ years back) routing to youtube from Deutsche Telekom (Germanys biggest ISP) was terrible and youd need a VPN or proxy to get good throughput.
Compression and possibly routing (due to peering policies, the automatically selected route can actually be worse latency- and throughput-wise than another possible route).
