Keep the other one, and then shoot me a link to this E3 :)

  • What kind of network card do the 64GB 4x2TB version use? I know I'm "a sad person" that like to use Windows on my servers, so I hope maybe I can use my Kimsufi template, or I have to make a new one.

I assume this is not the newest Intel driver, since servers is not new when we get them. So maybe Windows Server 2012 R2 will find the drivers by it self.

    Maybe on your dreams.

  • If I knew it was 38euros ( without VAT), I might have been tempted to buy yet another idling Dedi.

    Thank you OVH for that.

  • just got mine server today, i´m really happy with this offer <3

    root@ns30***7:/home# iperf -c iperf.ovh.net

Client connecting to iperf.ovh.net, TCP port 5001

TCP window size: 45.0 KByte (default)

    [ 3] local 149.202.94.240 port 49058 connected with 188.165.12.136 port 5001
    [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
    [ 3] 0.0-10.0 sec 1.09 GBytes 936 Mbits/sec

so my upload is 1gbit /sec
rescue speed test shows also 1gb/s

why is your window size 45kB by default?

I don't achieve this speeds, care to share what OS you are running and how you installed it (template vs. ipmi)

    what rack are you at?

  • the server is in rack G132B06

i´ve installed debian from the templates

From the rescue mode test I'm getting 900mbps+ to OVH internal network. Rack G121A17

First I thought, WAT Rescue enables full Gbit, booted into rescue, eh, still 244 Mbits/sec.

thx. I am in G132B20. have not tested from rescue mode anyways but also using debian (not from templates). would be interesting to see if there are any software/driver related differences on the achievable speeds or if it really only depends on how congested the uplink of the rack/switch is.

thanks for clarifying, about to think likewise.

at least this may prove that the ~250Mbit we are seeing are probably really the guarantee kicking in, everything above simply seems to be depleeted. yet those seeing faster speeds maybe located in new or more empty racks...

Looks like you and i are neighbours then, im also in G132B20.

I'm also only getting the 250Mbit/s.

  • upload speed to the internet is limited to 250mbit, but ovh to ovh i´ve got full gbit in both ways.

Hi there! please don't produce too much noise and heat, haha ;-)

I agree most probably tests to online.net or hetzner or any other provider outside of OVH is much more interesting then OVHs internal iperf crap ;-)

  • well ovh -> ovh uses internal network, not surprised

  • Any info if this is going to be restocked, or it will be like KS-4C?
