the server is in rack G132B06

i´ve installed debian from the templates

thx. I am in G132B20. have not tested from rescue mode anyways but also using debian (not from templates). would be interesting to see if there are any software/driver related differences on the achievable speeds or if it really only depends on how congested the uplink of the rack/switch is.

Looks like you and i are neighbours then, im also in G132B20.

I'm also only getting the 250Mbit/s.

Hello, Two neighbors, I also G132B20, my bandwidth, only 250Mbit / s. I was a regular site does not consume bandwidth!

Same here, has been in 'Server preparation and set up' status for 2 days.

  • For £58 you can upgrade the bandwidth to 1gbps, does anyone know if this is something you pay for monthly?

I ordered the USB stick so I could install other OS's easily thinking it was a monthly payment, and it turns out to be a one time cost.

Whats interesting is I had mine ordered for GRA and in BHS. I was hoping for BHS so I let the GRA expire. When BHS didnt happen, I contacted them yesterday and asked that they open the GRA one back up so I could purchase it saying it had expired by the time I was verified. They did open it this morning and I purchased it immediately. I got it about 8 hours later.

When my order was still in verification process and deployment process, I made several call to their customer service, didn't complain but just ask them the status.

I would just relax and wait, as your pushing does not help to get server deployed faster, so be a bit more patient.

  • finally got my delivered this morning. Disks are around 250 Hours old, so not bad :D

  • @Falzo, do you still only get 250Mbit/s? Cause i do and i'm confused as all the others seem to be able to at least burst to 1Gbit/s

  • @lisinge said:

yes no change here. maybe those who got setup in RBX are lucky of having other configurations/policies on their switches... most likely a cost free upgrade.
