    Which raid are you using? Even with or without cache you will not reach mentioned I/O speed. Btw how is possible that you have an E3 and we all have E5 processor, are you manipulating anything :)

    It is the result of passing cpu mode='host-model' to libvirt.

    The host node uses RAID-5 through mdadm.

    P.S. I am not manipulating anything :) Feel free to drop me a PM to get a test instance to test it yourself.

    You surely don't manipulate anything, but still - an E3 instead of an E5? Are you sure that you did not accidentally test another server without knowing?

    Or is that the CPU descriptor that you pass to the KVM?

    I use the following in the libvirt config file

    <cpu mode='host-model'/>

    It uses the closest CPU model it can find in the QEMU models list.

    Edit: just as an example, look at OVH VPS SSD if you have one, it shows E3 CPU at 2.4GHz, while it is E5 obviously.

  • God, I'm late again

  • Maybe I'm lucky, got this e-mail from OVH today:

    Hello, I have refreshed order expiry date, please follow the link to complete request :

    So with that I could pay the order (and I had ordered in GRA)

    So maybe I get my server soon, maybe in a week, maybe in a month? Who knows, but it's something. And sometimes it's smart to complain in a nice way, so they do this for you.

    What's your supposed usage for the server? How do networks compare, how support?
