  • I saw the post on twitter too. Pretty good deal.

    Thanks!

Edit: Always love the speed of their delivery. Just a hair over 4 minutes ^^

  • Thanks for the heads up :)

  • I'd like another, but can't justify the cost. Great value.

    Thanked by 1netomx
  • How is the uptime on these?

I am looking for a SSD based VPS but will consider a dedi if the uptime is good.

  • I really want to get one with the SAS drives, but then I think "Do I really need it?" Then I further think, what kind of question is that and why I am asking it..

@black it is definitely a good deal.

But interestingly, after having it and the 4814 (L3426) for some time now, I prefer the L3426 because it performs better for Proxmox virtualization (probably due to more threads), even though the E3-1220 clearly beats the L3426 in various benchmarks.

This is referring back to the discussion with @yomero, that started here.

I have one with over 150 days. Only reboot was initiated by me.

Mine was never rebooted since the last time they offered this like 6 months ago.

With the SAS disks its great as a VMWare ESXi host, currently running around 10 VMs on mine.

    Using raid 1 / 0 / no raid?

  • black said: Using raid 1 / 0 / no raid?

    Raid 1

  • Sorry for noob questions, how is the SAS disk compared with SSD?

I need to run Vtiger with 10 simultaneous connections.

  • Some usage graphs for ESXi:

  • Thanks, grabbed one. :-)

  • I have utterly no use for one and yet I still want one, LET, why have you done this to me.....

Now you understand women and their shoes.

  • Hows the traffic. It says 1gbit/s but no guaranteed ? WE going to run into the normal you have used more than your fair share etc with them

SSD will be a lot quicker especially with random I/O

    200 Mbit guaranteed

  • And again the bandwidth details are misleading:

I read "Internet bandwidth guaranteed" as the speed, that can be expected all the time. But recently we had a long discussion because what it really means is "if you use more than 200 mbit/s we will ask you to stop it". Why on earth wouldn't you just write "Internet bandwidth allowed" :(

    Anyway, got one :D

... or to buy higher bandwidth for 79.99 €

  • can we please give more "Thanks" to @geekalot

    Is it 200 mbit/s duplex (120TB) or not? (60TB)

    Thanked by 1geekalot

Because they said you're allowed to burst over etc. Just not constant usage above as far as I know.

Maybe this can replace my Dacentec dual L5420 box @$30 although €20+25% VAT is expensive... And only one IP :( But then again, box in EU > box in US

How many ips came with these servers?

    1 IP

  • Couldn't resist any more. Got my second...
Can't find a similar server in EU for that price.

Dedibox Limited 1115 - delivered in 4 minutes and 58 seconds

  • Sweet deal but as I currently dont need that much power I won't buy. But it's a great server for those who need to host a big and busy website.

With a few more IPs it would be a great machine for LET summerhosts ;)

Sure, the price is great but what will you use those two powerful servers for?

Can we add more? I don't see this option.
