Well, well... That disk I/O is horrendous on the Cloud VPS. I have just copied over a busy website and instantly had 19-38% wa in top after going live for a good hour before switching over to the original server again. Unusable for my purposes.

So their cloud vps is just another oversold expensive vps marketed as cloud?

It is obviously a bit more than that. However, it does not offer the disk I/O performance that I need. Like with most non-local storage. It seems fine CPU-wise and network-wise though.
By the way: Do I have to cancel that service or does it run out like the other OVH services?

It should eventually cancel, I always get a ton of renewal notices and last month I didn't renew in time and it showed as canceled but gave me a small grace period to renew so I could get it back.

Yeah that's the only thing I dislike about it, the 100 MBit speed
I hate you guys! ;-)
Now I have ordered myself their smallest "Cloud" VPS package in BHS just to see. Damn!
Just delivered ("Cloud", BHS). Nice network, nice ioping, but that dd...

I just paid the VPS SSD 1 1 hour ago. The order says paymane manual check requried. How fast you get the server?
Around 20mins. But I was already verified and registered before.
Ah. I just validated today. Okay hm i will wait

I spoke to their support & Oles about the DD results, was told it was due to the ceph backend platform.
Storage performance has been perfectly fine for the few months my Cloud VPS has been running.
-.- my USB stick has better write speed
Maybe try it later on, it shouldn't be that low so hopefully it's just a hiccup.
As does mine over 300MB/S faster
Still on vrack/private lan
Wonder when they will implement it and if it will work with the dedicated servers private lan (hybrid).

Try the SSD VPS 1
Not enough disk space for my needs. I need at least 25 GB.

You have to delete the server from the manager.
Have you received it in the meantime?

I read some reviews on forums that VPS of OVH is very slow and terrible.
I thought you left here to run your own forum. Action speaks louder than words. Flash your signature somewhere else.
double post
I asked the support about their CPU policy... no answer since 2 days.
Yeah
Installing interworx now. The tests are great for me. I hope the uptime could be too.
@Amitz : open a ticket, maybe something is wrong and thats not the normal performance...
Report to them, my IO is around at least 200MB/s.
This thread is about the 2016 line, not Classic. Where are these reviews that you're talking about concerning the 2016 line?
Support told me CPU is "dedicated".
How long did it take them to answer in the end?
then they lied, or got confused with Thread vs CPU
