  • @dacentec It works now. Thank you.

@wych It works now. It seems that if you need ipv6 but not working, you shall go to the support for help.

  • It seems that if you need anything you should go to support first...

Damn this forum, I couldn't resist. Quite frankly I'm thrilled I can even log in to a $2 1G VPS.

I wonder did you all read the 1st post?

VMVPS said: I open a ticket. The answer is "Many apologies but we do not have any IPv6 blocks routed for VPS use."

  • Looks like the plan has gone completely now.

Nah it just disappears when it's out of stock, then comes back. Although the $2/m 1GB plan is gone too.

That's what I meant, previously the plan swapped to $2 and now it's not present at all.

  • When is this gonna restock? Have a new project I can use this for.

    Ask Datacentec rather than us.

I got the Opteron model while its abit slow its still usable.

  • I hope the support volume surge from LET+$1 vps doesn't burn out their techs and their awesome support for ultra cheap dedis.

Support really is at the top of their PROS bullet list.

You hope the community knows more about Datacentec's plans that Datacentec itself?

    Thanked by 2Silvenga angrysnarl
  • They restock again. only the $2/m 1GB plan

  • Opened up a ticket for IPv6 and got it sorted within 20 minutes! +1 Dacentec

I second this, haven't bought the VPS though as already have 3 kidechires doing nothing.

  • IPv6 is in beta at dacentec, I have it associated with one of my big dedis. You may just be on a node that doesn't have it enabled yet!

I would just put another ticket in pointing to this thread and asking for clarification.

  • Also @mpkossen @mikho mind fixing the wrongful title.

    Sarcasm?

  • Not at all

  • @ElixantTechnology: you might want to upgrade the OS image selections especially if all your range has the same ones as available in the deal in your footer. Ubuntu 12.04 has more than a year of its LTS period left but I'd expect 14.04 to be offered by now (even if you are avoiding later releases as you only want to offer LTS variants), and even with its extended lifetime for core packages Debian 6 drops out security patch support in February.

  • Thanks for the suggestion there @MeAtExampleDotCom; we had already propogated more operating system versions within the VPS Command Center, however it seems that they were not added in the checkout process. We have gone ahead and done so, so you have more options to choose from.

I only get 9MB/s from cachefly, seems like something is wrong somewhere somehow. Anycase issue?

Really. You're going to complain about 9MB/s? I bet you're just a single drop in a vast ocean of people running benchmarks, resulting in slower speeds.

Also, how do you know cachefly is not overloaded?

    Thanked by 1vimalware
  • We are seeing 78.7Mbps to CacheFly so not quite overloaded; then again I am testing from a different geographical location...

    For a buck I'd say that's "good enough" :?
