  • Where are you guys getting an IPv6 address from? I didn't get anything.

    It was just assigned when I got the VPS, didn't do anything special for it.

    Stop spamming. If you're that desperate, head to the cest pit and remind everyone about your signature once per page.

    I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice.

  • Since Dacentec's policy is to SWIP all IPs, are they doing so on these VPSes too?

  • No, not on mine (yet, anyway).

  • Seems a good offer but I just got one yesterday for 8 euros / year.

    I've got a 1 usd monthly 512MB VPS from Dacentec. I've heard that someone got an ipv6 address. So I ordered one. However, the ipv6 address I got is not accessible, so I open a ticket. The answer is "Many apologies but we do not have any IPv6 blocks routed for VPS use." It sounds a little weird for me. Here I want to inform those who are willing to ipv6 to avoid Dacentec. But the speed of ticket reply is quite impressive for me (in 4 minutes).

    Perfectly fine. I think it's nice that they actually think of the environment (=their electricity bills) and use some kind of cpu governor.

    @tomle I don't think so. I've used CPU hardly so it seems they've limited it. That's still better than suspension. ;-)

    When you log in to their VPS manager, click "login details" and it will give you a SolusVM url and username/pass.

    Add https:// or it doesn't work

    @dacentec

  • As for Dacentec rolling out DDoS protection for this and other services, here's the official answer to that question:

    We are still working on our DDoS protection and it will be offered on all of our services.

    Check your ticket. For others, if there is no IPv6 on your VPS open a ticket with support.
