DC1, 100% uptime since august. On DC2 I had 10 minutes of downtime. Network is generally good on both DC1 and DC2 (1 gbit/s); once or twice I've seen some slowdowns, for not more than 5 minutes. So, very good for the price.

    True, best price/value ratio

So guys, a bit over four months have gone by since the thread was created, how stable is ArubaCloud, what is uptime, are there any significant network issues? And what location do you prefer?

DE UK IT2 100% network and hardware uptime i host my email servers there using Mailcow

Note : i have have moved 50% of my paying clients to the Arubacloud bigger plans

just yesterday i have setup an private file server with DNS round robin based server

I prefer DE over other locations network seems fine to me they have automated the rdns settings

  • I'm trying to use the free trial, but the account details section won't accept my mobile number so I can't get a control panel password.

Is there a trick to this - I've tried every which way (+44, 44, drop the first digit etc) ?

    Thanks, but still no luck

[edit] sorted now - error message on screen was not quite correct

  • Is @arubacloud support able and willing to place vps in separate host nodes in same DC?

    low-end cluster!

I signed up for the free trial a few minutes ago so hopefully I get a login for that :).

I never did get a password via SMS. Had to raise a support ticket and got it by email.

Control panel takes some getting used to but seems to be working well now

  • alaningus said: but it seems to me that Aruba were just briefly aiding a criminal investigation.

That was a pretty invasive investigation, though ... I forget the details but when I read about it, it seemed pretty far-fetched that the authorities would have a proper warrant to do all that, but then I'm not versed in Italian law anyways. Upshot is I wouldn't order from Aruba nor any VPS in Italy.

Just got my free trial voucher :) applied for it yesterday afternoon and woke up this morning to it in my gmail box.

You should buy some credit from the account login, which is different from the associated cloud admin panel, if They didn't change it. You will find it in the mail you used to register.

What payment methods do they accept?

Also, @ArubaCloud, if we use a little too much CPU, will you ban us or throttle us?

How does this compare with the other low cost plans for 768MB-1GB like Virtwire and HostUS?

Just be fair you will fine

    Or

Don't be a dick (not being rude just stating the fact)

    Virtwire and HostUS utilize OpenVZ.
