I think the crisis is over; we can shut this thread down.

  • NO! -- We must break the LET Record!

My VPS has been up and performing well since the kernel reboot. Thanks Damian!

You sir have not met Murphy and been totally pummeled by him yet I guess. Never temp him with such taunts as the crisis has past.

  • DamianDamian Member

    @dmmcintyre3: Not sure yet.

@miTgib: I thought it was your turn today for the beatings by Murphy? :X

I don't know if that sounds appetizing or just... i don't know.

Pies you can share. Fish Sticks I'd prefer not sharing.

When did inceptionhosting offer 32mb plans? I know of their 64mb offer, but not a 32mb offer.

  • @Damian that 26 cents calculation is not fair looking at the beating any of your customer has taken.
For situations like this when servers were off for a week, regular calculations cannot be applied.

Give everybody a free 2 week extension?
I'm not going to sweat it, but it would be nice.
I have no idea how much work that might entail.

@dmmcintyre3 i got my ipxcore transferred from backtogeek

It's not that hard, but WHMCS seems to not really take kindly to me arbitrarily moving invoice due dates ahead, and I haven't figured out how to do it otherwise. 26 cents is 1/2 of a month of service for the 32mb plan.

  • Surely there's a method to change the database of active clients forward 14 days. Not sure though, I never really tried messing with the DB.

Otherwise; you could just allow us to abuse the 1Gbit port :']! @DAmian

All network went down for 3-4 minutes. They're working on our switch today, so i'm hoping that's what it was. Otherwise, network dropouts aren't going to fly...

    Thanked by 1Inglar

It's shaky. SSH still connects (so the server isn't dead) but the connection aborts afterwards.

SSH has dropped twice, Pingdom reports this...
    http://screensnapr.com/v/UN8V6s.png

'Most' of them were caused by the network blips, but I think one of them were caused by my own rebooting etc... Caught the ping at the wrong time...

spoke to @Damian on LiveChat; He was surprised as I was, hoping that this isnt a persistent issue, Damian has been through enough rubbish recently.

    Update; Servers' back.

  • DamianDamian Member

Support ticket's in; they're investigating now.

  • DamianDamian Member

They report "Should be all good now. Please confirm."
