@aFriend Never really checked, but I know it's quick..
Is the backup FTP accessible with an encrypted protocol, too? (FTPS?)
@4n0nx Not to my knowledge.. http://i.mk6.net/150103-1628-7zv2u.png
anyone got any of these they want to get rid of? If so message me.

Check this out: http://bash.cyberciti.biz/backup/wizard-ftp-script.php
Anyone received their bill for kidechire?
I checked the account too and no bill there. I am worried, should I open a ticket?

Online.net are a bit late processing bills/payments this month.
You're correct. I haven't received invoice either.
yep, it should be processed today
I wrongly assumed the bills were delayed due to the holidays. mikmak has just said that the reason for the delay is the VAT change, they're checking everything before sending bills out.
Thanks
They probably haven't yet decided how to handle the new VAT idiocy
I think i got free bill for this month
No one got billed. So I think it just takes time with the new EU VAT rules
I got billed a couple of hours ago. Just a normal bill with no VAT (as I am not from the EU).
me too, got it 43 minutes ago
Just got mine as well.
failing drive?
The same but invoice still not listing in billing
That looks very simple and effective, I would love to make use of it. Is there anyway to have it use passive mode FTP? Online.net require this for their backup space.
This is normal for Seagate SMART values.
You could try to use pftp instead of ftp to connect to the ftp.
pftp -inv SERVERIP/DOMAIN << EOF
Easiest way to use the FTP space is just mount it as a normal drive, is easy as pie then.
I just tried it, works with pftp.
There was an error in the script with the formating, it now works, you simply have to change ftp to pftp.
Thank you, the script now appears to be working perfectly. I think I'm going to setup a FTP server on my Raspberry Pi at home, attach a 1TB disk and have nightly snapshots pushed to it from my backup server.
https://github.com/etiennerached/godaddy-backup-script
you can backup to ftp, and configure the script to delete the backups after x days
I'm using like this:
http://forum.online.net/index.php?/topic/4549-howto-proxmox-ftp-backup-as-storage-for-vzdump/
Just skip the proxmox section. Works like a charm!
Keep in mind their FTP has a limit of 1000 files in total, and something like 198 characters maximum length of path+filename (hard to pinpoint exactly, but long-named files in long-named dirs at considerable dir tree depths will fail to upload).
