Although it seems GVH have made some mistakes recently, wishing DDOS on anyone and cheerleading certainly doesn't elevate you above them.
50m requests per month was the last I heard from a cf staff a couple of months ago but can't really confirm as we're on business
Time to invest some money in a decent anti-DDoS solution?

Obviously it's shitty that someone's been enough of a dick to do this, but it does bring up an interesting point; given that hosts seem to be frequently targets of attacks, should decent DDoS protection of their site and client area be part of your shopping list now?
They had a huge DDoS attack. Helped them mitigate it w/ Incapsula though and greenvaluehost.com is now loading
We had nearly 5,000 IP addresses attacking us at once. The attack is being filtered right now.

@mpkossen please delete my above blank post, was a mistake.
In addition to setting up Incapsula we are also taking other measures in place which will prevent DDoS attacks in the future. This whole incident has been a learning process for us and we are going to do everything in our ability to make sure that this does not happen again.

You shouldn't host important services (forum, billing etc) for outreach to your customers on your own network, any attack on your network or even an individual could have consequences for your website and pushing out updates about what happened or is happening to clients.
IPBHost are pretty overpriced though, pretty funny considering GVH themselves would admit they're bargain bottom priced, lol.
