waiting on the official press release about this from the CEO and DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Guys it's a solusVM error. They'll ticket solusVM again and tell them about the bug. Don't worry it's not a hack.
We've confirmed that we are currently receiving a large Layer-7 DDoS attack. Measures are taking place at this time to mitigate this attack as quickly as possible.
My service with then is up and unaffected.
Are you on cloudflare? Did you apply your $10 security hardening option to your own server? Did you null route yourself for 24 hours? Did you cancel your account and refund your money to yourself and say you aren't the type of client you want?
To whomever is responsible for this action, I'd just like to say that this is way out of line. Not only was the attack illegal, but it was just completely rude and reckless. Sure, there are many members of the anti-GVH club, but conducting this type of behavior has no justification, ever. If you have a bone to pick with someone, tell it to them. Don't behave like an 8 year old who got ass-hurt because he got banned from a Minecraft community.
I may not be a supporter of GVH or its services, but I still stand against imprudent operations like this one.
I'm just a noob, but shouldn't a secure subdomain be on its own ip compared to the main site? then at least one ip may work? Again I'm just a noob so I may be ignorant
Cue one-eyed-man leading the blind education about how to run a business.
Everything is back online.
It's not just you! http://www.greenvaluehost.com looks down from here.
nope still offline, my first time ever trying the site.
Here we go again...
The main site is down, but my VPS is up. Not really threadworthy, you could have used http://isup.me
Do you even have any services with them?
looks like they did put secure.greenvalleyhost.com on its own ip - therefore that works. But their main site isn't responding. perhaps they changed the ip and it hasn't propagated yet?
Then again, I'm just a noob
Seems down from my side as well.
The Layer 7 DDoS attacks are getting larger and more serious. We've come up with a temporary mitigation solution. Can't post it here in case the attacker is reading this but we're going to work to get things back online ASAP.
oh good, now maybe you can make a new promo code; call it:

I found one: http://www.redbubble.com/people/wolfcat/works/7081174-who-would-jesus-ddos but in all reality this is more suited for @HostNun
I hope GVH gets back on its feet soon. Regardless of how many people might dislike GVH here, it's not only an incredibly childish move but also unfair to the clients that might be affected.
The attack literally increased it's size by 10 in the past 30 minutes. We're still trying to find a solution.
OVH? Voxility?
wont there be a DDOS protection team if they are a desired company? im surprised to hear this.
How big is said attack?
Cloudflare?
Go and put your domain behind cloudflare you silly boy
Dude... I think you're not much older. And it's not exactly respectful.
Anyway, I think CloudFlare is only free up to a certain size of attack. Not sure though and I don't know how big this attack is. But just saying.
@GreenValueHost You can try putting your domain behind Incapsula's 7 day free business trial. One of my large forums were target of a large Layer7 attack for about 3 days around 5 months ago (Specifically XMLRPC Attacks) and Incapsula took care of it perfectly. You can get the trial here http://www.incapsula.com/pricing-and-plans.html
They are one of the leaders in Layer7 Mitigation.
Hopefully for good.
