They should be banned strictly.
That is funny. lol
We were transparent about the issues and admitted to what happened to the customers first and foremost. The one customer is long time and keeps buying from us. They understood our mistake and accepted our apologies. The second one did not and was rude and demeaning. That we will answer to insults and toxicity, we do not tolerate further. GOLDEN RULE. The exception was @nohavps adding flames to fire to new hosts, @CharityHost_org is not the only one getting that from this host. Again, we loathe insults and toxicity and own up to the issues. The incessant attacking from .001% of the active members at LET got the answers too.
This is funny though.
I wonder what happened exactly and what is the proof of it? Anyone can provide a link?
TL;DR they snooped in a guy's private server which had no A records attached to the IP, i.e., it wasn't public content.

Not the first time they've snooped, either. See @mw's comment.

Naa, leave them be. Hosts that snoop on your data is a good reason for people to encrypt their data. And no, i am not talking about drive encryption, i am talking about data encryption.
LOL. That's so not how it went. Keep repeating the same thing over and over again, but it's not true. That's just not how it happened. Tired of repeating myself.
@bjordanov There are like 40 pages now of attacks from a small group of active members in this forum. Same ones over and over, same allegations and attacks, but some have insults, mocking, and all sorts of derision. If you have any questions we can clarify, happy to do so. Be mindful that this is a small minority gang of forum members that regularly attack new hosts. It stemmed from a suspended customer for AUP violation, which we then unsuspended, but the customer was rude, belligerent, and insulting, so we told him to take his data and go within 48 hours.
You can find all our responses in the attacks:

If none of what we've been saying is true, then why do you keep trying to defend yourself while inventing new stories and getting a little bit more unhinged and theatrical every time you do?
I've seen less "mocking" and "all sorts of derision," and more legitimate questions into the ethics and operation of your company.
Also, you've been replying on these threads for hours on end. Shouldn't you be spending that time doing stuff that's actually consequential for your business and your existing customers? Why are you so desperate to drown out criticism, if you truly have nothing to hide?
I don't want to defend the provider in any way because I'm not familiar with the story but yeah ... keeping their reputation good would be waaay up my "to do list" when it comes to drama like this, especially if I had a small business and reputation is all I have. Hopefully this gets resolved. Their offers were good and support was prompt so far. I would like to see where it goes and then renew but the privacy thing is a big downer for me.
The other thing I'd mention about his reply to me is that new providers truly getting "attacked" here is rare (unless you're the kind of person to construe "basic questions about the operation of the business" as an "attack").
I'm happy to give new providers the benefit of the doubt, but by now, @CharityHost_org has had plenty of time to let his company speak for itself, and if this is what that time is amounting to, I'd say that my concerns (which echo the concerns of many others) take priority over benefit of the doubt.
with everything you write, the opposite is always true!
I might be remembering this wrong (and am not going to dig for it as it’ll take too long) but I recall some user claiming that the host sees changing the default root password as untrustworthy. That is they expect their clients to keep the same default password that was sent to them (as if so that the provider can log in whenever they want?).
Correct
It's always: people are attacking us
It's never a lesson learned in any way.
The very first Crybaby of the hosting industry I've met.
I'd rather have hosts banned that allow loli hentai.
I like how @FAT32 summarized it.
