Didn't grab .sg? :) Thought you would have because you are .au based :)

Nah LA is better for AUS east coast

I also find West Coast US a good option for East Coast Australia when compared to Singapore. Performance can be good, and it also avoids the severe bandwidth hit/cost you take with Singapore and other APAC region hosts. Picked an LA based storage for that reason myself also.

The Sydney based compute is tempting but.

I was impressed with it, decided to buy a 2nd one. Good price!

  • @hosthatch why can’t sign up? This offers don’t for new user?

Sign up for an account first then use the link while logged in. I took this offer up without previously having a plan with them.

  • Got one. Thanks for the tempting offer. Oddly enough, I've been here for more than a decade but never had I had a chance to get one service from HH.

  • I saw the activity of the machine on lowendtalk and ordered the service. The CPU of other customers on the forum is 7513 or 7443-p, while mine is 7443, and the CPU score is 1000~2000 points lower than theirs. How is this? What's going on?

@hosthatch if picked up a server in SGP. And want to change that to LA. Is that possible? Same promo event (this one) just want to change the location. Please let me know.

I guess it's not possible especially the APAC locations which have different specs, such as bandwidth, and higher pricing. Not sure either.

  • Do you have any promise about CPU model type? I have saw many models of Cpu from 7443,7443p,7R13 to 7513. Or say it's a blind box game?

  • There is/was no guarantee of any particular CPU offered. Every location is different and then there is different hardware between nodes in every location.

Not loading on my iPhone with Safari for whatever reason (may be an extension), but my desktop browsers (chromium, Firefox and Safari) can access https://cloud.hosthatch.com/signup

  • What happens after the 12th month ? Can't we keep the deal going if we want to ?

It looks to be a recursive offer, as the next billing price shown on the panel remains unchanged.

We do not offer any changes on these plans.

No, we do not guarantee which CPU you will be on, but the performance will be fairly similar.

    Yes.

Like I told you in your ticket, there is nothing wrong with your server, and there are many other providers out there to choose from if you are unsatisfied because someone else has 10% better performance.

  • i have ordered pair of compute and storage to idle. nice offer

    No windows?

    Yabs for newyork location?

  • The server of the Christmas promotion cannot be connected to the server in the same region through the dedicated network. Is it because the dedicated network is not configured properly? Looking forward to your reply?

  • How to connect storage and computing servers in the same area through your dedicated network, and how should I set them up? @hosthatch

    You can upload your ISO.

  • Don't be fooled. The IP he gave is blocked by Google. The latency in the Asia-Pacific region is very high, just like the latency from Asia to the Americas. The customer service is very poor.

    ???
Google APIs all work just fine. If you want a fast connection from LA to somewhere across the pacific then you should retake you geography classa.

  • This is a shameful merchant. They don’t publish the CPU of the server they sell, nor do they publish the frequency of the RAM. They just play tricks on you. The IP address of the machine I was given was blocked by Google. The customer service is very poor. I live in Asia and the delay when connecting to Japan is more than 200 ms, which is the same delay as when connecting to America.

I live in APAC and my connection has been great.

Then why the fuck you bought it in first place? I am confused.

The IP address of the machine I was given was blocked by Google.

Have you tried to contact support about it? IP addresses are re-used, there is a chance previous customer was an asshole and it's blocked - if you open ticket with some proofs and tell them that Google services access is important for you I am pretty sure @hosthatch will change that IP?

The customer service is very poor.

Please, screenshots of ticket(s), we will gladly judge that.

I live in Asia and the delay when connecting to Japan is more than 200 ms, which is the same delay as when connecting to America.

There is looking glass on hosthatch website - are you saying you have different ping to looking glass and to your IP? Have you tested the routes before buying?
Have you provided traceroutes (both sides) to HH support so they can take a look at that route? Maybe it's issue on theirs end, maybe it's issue on yours end, maybe it's issue somewhere between everyone. Hosthatch can try to adjust routes to avoid certain paths, but they need to know how and where it goes.
