  • @c1vhosting turn online and post in megathread, here for support when you come? When you answer to mail? C'mon

  • yep, same problem - cannot connect to my server.

Having my own experience, Calin's one and now c1v's, looks like all home based DC has it's own kind of issues.
We still have rare downtimes when the batteries do not get the load in time, Calin has also frequent fiber cuts and c1v has network issues caused by who knows what.
Good luck to all of us, we need it!

sadly, had same issue. Have to say Calin's price is tempting, just service is not reliable.
I'm new to c1vhosting but what a terrible start! a server without connection?

  • Hello,

Please reinstall the VPS using our website interface. The updated templates should resolve the issue you're facing. Let me know if you need further assistance!

@davide said: Because consumer UPSes are kinda garbage, anecdotally the apparent power must be >4 times the load to reliably avoid power interruptions.

Oh boy, are you right on that.

Branded UPS says 1000W pure SIN, we hook up a 550w PC, UPS says: fuck you, over power, to much load, guys in the room look at the ups->PC->UPS->PC-----WTF, power supply says 550W MAX---UPS->PC->UPS.

Yes, ups nowadays should have 3x times the power of actual usage you have, otherwise.

No, this is not a networking issue. Customers were informed. It was a wrong configuration of the automation (cloud-init).

Absolutely not home based DC. It was already discussed and should be clear.

I'm glad that the team is fixing the DDoS, I have a stride of ETIMEOUT errors in my nodejs logs too. Screw those scummy Russian hackers targeting core infrastructure!

Just got an email they are having network issues now. "experiencing DDoS attacks significantly exceeding our current protection capacity"

Avoid this host like the plague. I learned quickly it would not be worthwhile despite pre-paying 1 year in advance (I was lured by the price, silly me). They are refusing me a refund and have fought me - they must really need the money

@c1vhosting you shown no proof to contradict the doubts regarding "home based DC".

I don't care about that honestly

    You're mixing two different things.

  • Perfect, man, the VNC in browser is working.
Thank you and have a nice day.

Why? I'm a customer and for trasparency why i can't see your DC? You have some power secret likes Reactor Arc likes Ironman? how many employees have c1vhosting?
