I could actually do something like 50% off for the first year for pre-orders only (must be 1 year prepayment), but not sure
So $0.25/GB of RAM for the first year and then next year it goes up to $0.50/GB of RAM
Not sure what would be super enticing without losing that much money long term, will have to come up with something
i dont mind. DO IT
i expect my $36/yr plan.
I think it would be similar in single core performance but Genoa would win in multi core, most likely I'll stick with Genoa. Still above 1500 GB5 single core on either platform
I will increase it by 100% then
😢
Would prefer Sapphire Rapids for its AMX extensions.
Just curious, would a smaller plan be feasible?
Something along the lines of
AMD EPYC 9554 or Sapphire
1 dedicated OR 2 shared
4GB DDR5 ECC Memory
40GB RAID10 Gen4 NVMe SSD
10TB@10G
$25-30, yearly only.
You aware
*1.5*0.5=0.75(25% discount) right?I can do it for $24/year maybe if people want it but it'd have to be 2 shared
Will it launch before BF?
I'll take that
where's the pre-order with 50% markup and 50% discount?!
Maybe but for BF the price would most likely be the same, can't afford to go too aggressive on the promotions for it, $0.50/GB/RAM on yearly is probably the best I can do but will see
just kidding. lets do $24 lets go
too aggressive also means that there will quickly be new aggressive customers to order from.
The price is amazing!
Agree with the rest that I'll be all over it when it's available in SG
Where in LA? Which provider?
awesome, looking forward to it!
any plans for bgp btw?
And later aggressive review for either low performance or high price
that is coming in the wake, very correct statement!
$8/month $48/yearit's 50% off arleady
Dear @Advin
the offer is quite good, but let me elaborate a bit...
I compared prices/disk space available, and specific storage price, even to your previous offerings, and this one always comes up as the most expensive, especially looking at the monthly price.
Which brings us to pricing itself... considering what I wrote above about disk space, it's my opinion that monthly prices while not terrible, are also not terribly affordable. But then, you give good discount for longer term payment, and suddenly it looks much (quarterly) much (yearly) better.
Now, still remembering that I consider disk space too small, but on the topic of preorder possibility, here's an idea. How about you keep all prices as they are, and then just promise double disk for preorders? If such offer ends up in Nuremberg, then it would tick all the boxes for me.
Totally understand about the NVMe storage, but unfortunately NVMe is a bit expensive, the disks in the host node are already costing more than the RAM
I will see what I can do in regards to storage, I can maybe offer additional storage for a fee or maybe see if I can increase the amount of NVMe space available. Or I could potentially just buy more disks later down the line and increase everyone's storage in the future, which is something that I have actually been somewhat planning for our standard lineups
For pre-order bonus, an increase in NVMe would mean reducing the amount of NVMe available to the normal non-preorder packages which would not be ideal
Hurry up and get online, I can’t wait.
Poll is basically 50/50 on location. For those who are interested in buying, which one would you prefer and why?
Only Nuremberg, I'm afraid. Because it's 10x (read: ten times) closer.
Germany - better latency to most of the world. For me Germany would be ~150ms, LA would ~220ms and so I go for Germany.
nürnberg because it is my homeland!
Nürnberg because it's Herr @hyperblast's homeland.
And because I prefer 25ms latency instead of 190ms.
I completely understand this point, to be honest. Just hypothetically speaking, if I were to purchase a VPS with the largest available size and it performs well, I would run a lot of things on it. In this case, having additional storage or a larger main space would undoubtedly provide greater flexibility.
If this location is eventually in Los Angeles, I think I would be interested in ordering one and would not mind making a reservation and paying annually (if there are any discounts available).
