    Hello,
Only "RETIRED" VPS were taken down today in LA and Miami. All other VPS (500+) are online and functioning as expected. If your VPS Service name contained "RETIRED" you've been refunded and your VPS has been removed.

We released Dallas on the 13th. By the 16th, we decided Dallas wasn't going to work out

I'm very curious how this can even happen from a business perspective.

3 days from launch isn't enough time to decide on the viability of a service you intend to run indefinitely, and even if you decide it's not viable you at least honour the month of service that people have already paid for.

The only legitimate reason for exiting so dramatically is massive unforeseen costs, but if that's true it shows that as a company you fail to do even basic due diligence when selecting a location, because if you didn't know your upstream / colo host / whatever was going to increase their prices to you immediately, you've done something seriously wrong in your planning phase. Did you even have a planning phase?

As your company seems to have been operating for only around a month, I can't help but wonder if you've just been using a magic-8 ball to make all your business decisions so far.

    Hello,
3 days is actually enough time for HXServers, considering we fill more than 100+ orders a day. We analyze order volume per new location over a set time frame. If orders reach a threshold, we keep the location, and if not, it gets scheduled for removal. From now on though, we're only focusing on our two locations that are popular, Los Angeles and New York. Yes, we do have a planning phase. And no, we don't have an magic-8 ball but maybe we should get one.

Probably, it is related to refund period from dedicated provider.
Bought, saw no interest and refunded within 7 days (or who was a provider?).

GTHost does not provide refunds. This was not the case.

  • No refund received :(

  • NY retired also down...

NY retired is not down. If your VPS is having issues, please open a ticket.
The only VPS that were removed was Retired LA and a portion of Retired Miami. In total, less than 20 VPS.

  • Why can't resume the annual/quarterly payment plan?

HXServers is not currently offering annual/quarterly payments.

  • Maybe you accidentally removed NY? Because it was stopped at the same time as LA and MI. The same time were down.

No, we certainly did not. Please submit a ticket so we can identify who you are and get you some help!

Ok, you're submitting PayPal disputes for every active service you have claiming it was deleted, when it wasn't. Your services are still online. We're building a case with PayPal against you

  • omg, flooded with issues

Everything is down... cannot connect to any vps in any location.

You are in hosting business since 2006... well such unexpected treatment. Really.

Then he seemed like lost interest to hosting business (after 2012).
    And recently returned back.

This probably explains all that chaos.

  • Btw, in 2011 he screwed people the same way and shut down the hosting.

  • Last time he lasted 3 months. Started in September 2011, shut down in December. People hardly got their files back (not all). The same was before. Started, then closed.

    @hxservers

Why you did not send emails with say 24 hours notice?

Don't you think customers deserve at least that much courtesy?

The only information I found so far is that they currently operating at least two distinct domains for some reason:

In their homepage is already mentioned that they renamed. Googling more will reveal previous company name. TOS too.

Didn't knew about it. Thanks for sharing that.

Didn't look like it's reliable provider.
