Yeah I never had issue with service, they reply the same day and while the answer is maybe garbage the first time, you just write again in the same ticket and clarify and you get a good answer.
Think what they are offering, with free BGP for their $5/month plan, it's hard to find someone else that offers something similar at that price point.

Don't wait for it, it's not guaranteed.

This is a new program that we are developing and inventory is limited. Early access is not guaranteed and we will be approving accounts on a rolling basis as we continue to refine this tier. Additionally, we will only reach out if you have been accepted into the program. Ineligible applicants will not be notified.

My current vultr vps has probably been one of the most stable I've ever used. Haven't tried the high freq instances yet, but uptime/availability has been rock solid at 99.9898% over 175 days. The small downtime was probably my fault now that I think about it...

Hmmm
I fully applied earlier but now after reading the blog post not so sure if a business email address is a requirement, gives a big priority or maybe doesn't mean much.

In some places they write they just want to confirm a user is not a bot (and even mention developers) but in others it sounds like they're more business clients oriented in this free tier program.

What do you think?
I'm sure many of us here also used free email addresses and probably convinced we're not bots after all this hassle... lol will they kick us now?

If you read their announcement, it's pretty clear they're not going to get into the algorithm for selection.

My email is a personal .org so I guess we'll see.

Go with paypal, vultr has some issues with credit card processing.
