Tricky to tell whether I want Hybrid or Penguin :) - more memory or some fast storage. Definitely something to think about.

I have a Polar Bear up for renewal and was considering replacing it with a larger storage VPS. It's up for renewal w/ bill due Dec 14. With 2 weeks, if I ordered a new one - would it be in time to transfer everything over?

I could technically download it all locally and upload, but have Xfinity now vs fiber that I used to have and while 30MBPs upload is bad on its own- I'd be bumping well past their 1.2TB bandwidth cap

What did you end up deciding?

Couldn't resist that IPv6 only box, even if I just idle it, I MUST HAVE IT lol

    Mind sharing the YABS

  • @Shot2 said: Who would check a "Please give me less performance" box?

My use case is worst-case real world testing for various different types of PeerTube alpha test servers. Helps to find fine tuning tricks to work around bottlenecks imposed by impolite neighbors. Plus if I accidentally peg usage because I screw something up I don't feel as bad.

  • Can't wait for the Opossum :))

  • I bought a polar but have no use for it now. future? 50/50 since I am using local NAS.
YABS are good though, should I refund or just keep? ... literally racking my brains over $48.

  • @servarica_hani do your IP6-only offer has IP4 NAT (ie, can I access IP4-only sites from the VPS)?

No, that is IP6 only server, no NAT or whatever.

  • Finally got my Opossum server! Looking forward to having another backup box  I do wish it had some v4 NAT to get around some of the v6 weirdness with some sites/services, but it is what it is. YABS below, no GB5/4 score due to IPv6 :disappointed:

Hi neighbor, turn down the noise, please.

  • YABS for Opossum IPv6 Storage offer (seedbox node)

Note:I configured IPv4 (NAT) for it by some magic (tunnel to my server), so IPv4 speed is not reliable.

I plan to build a static file download node to distribute my work.

Geekbench releases can only be downloaded over IPv4. FTP the Geekbench files and run manually.

I ultimately decided on renewing the Polar Bear (it is a pretty good rate) and buying a BF deal on 10 TB space from HostHatch. Will have to compare how some things run on each one it's all setup.

  • Already purchased, good service

  • Orders #4149742796 and #8116801285 thank you

  • @servarica_hani do you have plan to restock Opossum any time soon?

  • Order #7285828892 thanks <3

not exactly sure , but we should get extra servers these 2 weeks
so if we dont have immediate need for them we can re-enable Opossum

  • Just renewed my box. Renewal doesn't generate order number, so here I put my invoice number below.

    Invoice #65908

    solid box,yyds!

  • anyone wants to let go his/her Opossum IPv6? :D, I'm interested to take it

  • From some reason, some of the plans are not sold out.

@servarica_hani - the limits from table are still in place?

I think only Opossum is out of stock, others offers are still avail.
