  • Servers shouldn't be transferable within 30 days, for not encouraging scalpers, and those getting several servers, just to keep the one with the "best" hardware.

  • How can I raid0 ? Is there some tutoriel ?
    Thank you for your help

Boot into rescue mode, run qemu with the physical disks attached, your choice of distro ISO and VNC forwarded over SSH

Well, maybe some people bought one and have no need for it...

If you end up with Internal rescue, like i did, the entire fucking day.
You close if you you did open your existing ticket.

Why? The API will block any intervention if a ticket is open.
You can request an intervention via API and your machine unlocked in 30 minutes.

But describe the issue, otherwise they end up replacing your memory or cooling.
If you do, they just unlock it and you are good to go in 30 minutes.

I will post it once its reopen.

Thanks for the heads up! Won't have to spend the day checking  .

Could be fair, if the restock would be restricted to those who didn't yet get one (or more).

Then, is there something else, for Cyber monday?

Nothing new today except the code EXTRA10 (SYS) & EXTRA5 (OVH) shared on LET ;)
    valid until tomorrow morning.

Anything you can tell us, about this?

Nevermind, the technican closed the ticket, left an invention pending, without doing anything besides putting the machine into rescue.

Which I can access and checked if anything was done, so yea the machine is at idle.
The intervention he started apparently still blocks the machine.

I can't even reply to the existing ticket, so we are at 3 tickets now, which 2 are closed.

I got one in CA, honestly speaking I was thinking about getting another - thankfully, OVH canceled that decision by being OOS. Cheers for the good CPU and very welcoming price!

  • I found one from OVN

I got 3 available for transfer i´m just asking the original Price
    2x 25€ (1month+setup fee)+ 40€ (2months+setup fee)

so that would be a total of 90€ - just giving away all of them in one batch
account must be a EU one

  • I'm looking for one in Canada

  • Anyone has any idea if it is possible to swap the two 2TB hdds for an SSD even if it is 120GB?

  • Still looking for one if anyone can sell

You can't do any in KS/SYS/OVH for instant deployed servers unless any HW failure in disks but will be replaced from same family HDD > HDD, SSD > SSD.

If not happy with HW, just cancel or transfer to whoever want it more

Super happy with this machine, would be even happier with a SSD.

Re-read the details of the offer, what does "Special offer valid for entire commitment duration" mean?

ovh has a history of twisting words.

They have spelled it out this way so that every single one of you (us) understands this is not just the first month or first payment, but the discount is recurring until you cancel.

I.e. they tried to use the most verbose wording possible to ensure nobody has any questions and you still have questions, in their place I'd say FML and go sit in a corner. Also take into account English is not their first language.

The question yet remains, what do we do with these machines?
    Especially the unplanned, 8TB upgrade.
