@MannDude said: Should be fine in NL, I'd imagine.

    Dreams away.

    Depends, I'd say.

Is it a site where bathroom memes and misgendering jokes are shared? Probably fine. Guess it depends on how much time someone has on their hands to see it be removed. Is it full on "hate speech"? Then use the US.

Being against LGBT in NL or US is the same thing to be against deer or bears in Lapland. Read above.

Read their terms. They're the company I mentioned in my other comment that doesn't allow content against the covid vaccine. Regardless your stance on the vaccine, you can't claim to support free speech if you do not allow your customers to run a site that questions official information.

  • @MannDude true. Floki is not that much freedom of speech. they are leftwings and proabortion.

  • right wing / far right / neo nazi ..... at Trump hosting :D :D :D

Well, @jmginer do you also allow this? I could be surprised if you do it lol.

I don't care what content you host on our servers... personally, I think I would close the server if I detected any kind of child pornography... otherwise, finding out if something is legal or not is the job of the judges (only them) and of course not of the hosting company.

Boomer.host has free speech, but probably only on our US servers since I don't think Europe has free speech.

Anyways. We follow US law and will not give in to external pressures with people not liking your opinion. Freedom of speech and the right to disagree always. It's none of our business as long as it's legal.

    We allow TOR as well.

But if you will choose us as your provider please wait until January 2022 when we get Path DDoS protection. I have a feeling they will try to hit your VPS hard..

As you probably understand we at boomer.host have boomer logic

But if you have bad speech you will be deducted good boy tokens. This is will be the USA in big cities within the next decade.

  • @sandoz said: they are dmca ignored

Not sure how that's relevant here. Also DMCA is an American law, so any host located entirely outside the USA is "DMCA ignored" by definition

OK, let me rephrase that since 'freedom of speech' and 'political speech' are being warped some.

Normally Political Speech would be "I'm a whistleblower showing that leader X did Y, causing Z'. Luxembourg is strong in defending that stuff, up until it crosses into you snitching out the local banks and then you end up in a federal pound me in the ass prison.

Anything that might be seen as 'hate speech', and given the OP is worried about alphabet groups, means in someones eyes, it does. You're going to have a problem with that in most EU countries.

There's some where it might be fine, NL might be one of them, but for that content the USA has been the most protective.

All of the big shutdowns that have happened in the USA were due to being pressured by people on twitter, not because a fed agency knocked on the door and said "Uh hey...".

The only speech I ever shut down translated roughly to "Women are property and you should rape them." Feel free to guess which language it translated from, I'll just keep that to myself.

Nope, they recently doesn't allow anything related with Vaccines, that makes no sense... for a "freedom of speech" hosting..

Not reliable anymore because of that. What consequences they can have for have a freedom of speech about vaccines in their network?

Depends, does their country have any local laws against it? Pretty sure some countries do.

They have servers based in Romenia, Iceland, Finland.
I don't find any reason why get changed ideas, since they always are defenders of "freedom of speech"..

They can only defend it within the law of the land though.

If you go try to host a porn site inside of KSA you're going to get your shit deracked, and you probably stoned, before the page refreshes. That's why it's important for hosts that have a focus on speech/etc know the local laws of the market they want to move into.

Picking a random country to startup in and then get upset when things go south is the hosts fault for not doing their due diligence.

    why?

    very strict on freedom speech

What's this, now? A recent Supreme Court decision said a comedian could make fun of a disabled child.

Wtf are you referring to that is "very strict"? My mom says and reads some crazy shit on Facebook and have not heard a peep about freedom of speech being violated except for Facebook doing the censoring due to the material being harmful and a complete nonsense. But that's not Canadian Free speech laws, that's a corporation needing to limit damage they propagate.

"Hey buddy, don't smoke in the pub".

"Ok, I wasn't anyway, since the indoor smoking laws changed over a decade ago. What shithole country are you from? How about you GTFO and leave us alone".

  • ok

Reasonable limits on canada .... not very strict

still worse than US it seems
they hate speech laws that may apply to OP's site

Hate speech is just such a subjective thing anyway. I know laws define it but they're based on subjective agreement and will of course have exclusions. You can openly hate this group but not that group, etc.

Love everyone. You don't have to agree with them, and disagreement is not hate. Death to speech laws because eventually you'll find them protecting someone that you and your peers all find to be in need of criticism. Most likely, the people writing the laws.
