I'm Swedish, I run a Swedish company, and I do not have a single server in Sweden.
Why? Because it's expensive as fuck and it doesn't really provide any advantages.

With todays infrastructure it's really not that important to keep your servers close anymore. I have just as good responsetime to Germany or the UK as I have to most locations in Sweden.

Just to clarify.
A user gets banned from BuyVM's irc server, and people complain to jbiloh on LET?
Is jbiloh somehow involved with that irc server, or am I missing something here?

Big providers do this, same with many free ones, and I'd have to say I collect less than many big free providers. Like, I don't look through user files. Maybe scan through the processes for blacklisted programs (automated), but that's it, and that's for LXC only since I can do it from the host system.

If you need an example of a half-complete panel, take a look at what happens with virmach's site. A dedi's out of stock? Change the billing cycle and it's now in-stock. Go to checkout and try to purchase it after entering all of your details? Out of stock. And yeah, BuyVM/a number of providers had it tough initially, too.
