Francisco/BuyVM - question for you
@Francisco
How can you afford to offer $3.50 vps considering the cost of ip4 and windows server licensing cost?
And, not to mention, excellent customer service.

Happy customers means a happy business.
The whole thing is a money laundering front for the Canadian mafia.
No one is running Windows on a 512MB VPS
The Syrup must flow.
We own our IP's, hardware, etc. We do our very best to keep our costs stable and not get side lined. I'll sign fairly long term contracts (we've done 5 year deals with Hurricane before just to push costs down even further).
It's a lot of hard work but we're a reliable pay day and have a lot of years running.
That's the goal! Can't please everyone but I think we do a pretty great job.
Francisco
That's amazing.
Francisco
is that hurricane electric for transit?
I was inspired by @Francisco's BuyVM.
I got enough credit to run my 1G test VM for over 5 years
Good service from @Francisco
In Vegas yes.

Edit - my apologies. I was mistaken. I meant 1GB plan with windows OS. $3.50 per month. Please read 1gb instead of 512mb in my comments.
@Francisco can confirm the actual percentage. My guess would be that about 15-20% of 512mb VPS would be running Windows Server OS.
Almost, any customer having 512mb VPS can switch to windows os anytime.
To me, BuyVM business model is the perfect model for running VPS business. The cost of VPS plans has not changed since I can remember.
Only thing I can suggest that along with 1 dedicated cpu thread, there should be a plan with 2 threads (each thread dedicated 50%)
Some day ill finish the cpu abuse system that handles auto capping. Once I do that I'll likely add an option for users to configure their cpu configuration (basically double the cores with each having half the maximum as they normally would).

Sorry, pal. Your time is up.
If Handsmaids Tale was set in Canada instead of the US, that's what the people would say to each other.
Rotten be the fruit.
Frantech empire is evil.
Just remember that.
Kindly do not generalize individual experience.
Hint - You can see how many agree with you.
If that was a silly gag comment, so be it.
But personally BuyVM has been one of the most solid companies I've ever dealt with, going back 10+ years. Fran has always been a standup guy to deal with. I've heard a few bits of drama around BuyVM - here from competitors (generally baseless), ex-employees elsewhere (generally irrelevant0, etc. - but when I weigh it against their reputation and my experience, I am still happy to recommend them to others.
There are definitely other solid LowEnd companies, no doubt, but BuyVM has always been in the top tier for me.

It's been a running gag for years. Frantech empire is evil.
aliens
Did someone say aliens?!

I hope BuyVM can expand to more locations
When can I buy LU Block Storage Slab,I think it Out of stock long long time.
yes, same as me.. need more in LU
BuyVMs ‘secret sauce’ is never having stock when you need it, make it even more desirable.
because they don't oversell
Yeah, that’s the public explanation…
Any reasoning for your assertion….
please exclude jealousy
What a humourless place this has become. Time to make myself scarce again.
