People which complain about storing plain text passwords or weakly encrypted ones confuse VPS with an email account or something. You can and should change your password or even use only keys in your VM in case the provider is hacked but if that happens, OVZ and other backdoored containers/VMs are as transparent as the air and depending on the access level also KVM and anything else is accessible, even in case of disk encryption.

That depends on the season and who is looking.
That's really not fair! I have many Romanian friends that I do trust. With one of my friends I even do business, and to be honest, he is to most upfront paying customer I could have. Always pays in time, is reliable. I have absolutely no problems with doing business with Romanians.
Been at their hotels too. Believe it or not: the small business that rented out a summer apartment gave me money back when the covid pandemic started. It was the international NH Hotels that didn't give me any money back, as they still believed 'it was very safe to come to Romania' with over 10.000 cases every day. I have never seen back that money and needed to activate my traveling insurance. So, no, I wouldn't disqualify Romanians.
That said: I have had a VPS with dedicatserver too. I didn't know they are inspecting VPS'es. However, I had regular problems with connectivity. Every now and then the connection dropped for some hours. Their support was fast, but they just didn't know how to fix it. I left their business and moved to a business from Cluj. And that worked very fine. I can recommend businesses such as Hosterion. And I know businesses like Voxility, M247 and such a reliable too. I have no idea why you would need to avoid Romanians.
I have more Romanian friends than I have friends from my country, even.

I'm quite disappointed to see this from a provider.
If you have proof the client is committing a crime you shouldn't go snooping on their machine. The best thing to do is take a full disk image copy and hand it over to the relevant authorities and terminate the client at the same time.
He will have more issues than that after posting such a picture. He just advertised everyone that he is spoofing, and offers cheap dedicated servers with nice bandwidth.
I already saw someone talking about this in one of the telegram channels which I lurk in to learn the latest trends among these fucks. I wonder how you are going to do this same thing with dedicated servers which you offer?

Can we add a feature to LET so that when providers accidentally (or... proudly?) admit that they are shady AF, you can involturatacate them, and every time you view their posts from then on, their profile picture is borat's neighbours face?
This would only affect what you see on the forum when you're logged in, so LET noobs would still have to learn important life lessons the hard way. But if providers like this aren't going to be banned, at least give us lurkers the option to personally pillory them.
