Thanks. It doesn't mention dedicated cores though.

    kindly check with @spectraip

cores are dedicated was confirmed by support ticket for me.

They are not, be realistic. Your service is on a server with 8 cores total and you are paying 6.5€/month.

    8 cores, 16 HWT.
    We provide dedicated HWT.

The VPS performance is excellent. The cpu performance is consistent (that shows cpu hyper-thread is dedicated).

    CHI (4 available) / LON (5 available) / LAX (15 available)

This one only shows 2GB RAM in Los Angeles on the order page, not 4GB. Is that intentional?

Edit: Why does this forum system somehow always seem to break quotes when replying?

You are not alone. My Chicago memory and traffic are half.

@Daniel15 and @Johnston - Have you opened tickets is this 4GB or 2GB RAM?

@hosthatch - Are these actually 2GB RAM or 4GB RAM?

Not yet, I have pm @hosthatch and look forward to his reply. If there is no reply for a long time, I will send a ticket.

These plans come with 4 GB RAM (including in LA). The specs we advertise on LET are the ones that we will honor.

If you were assigned the wrong specs, please open a ticket and we'll get it fixed.

  • @hosthatch when will server transfers re-open? And can we upgrade space/ram for the 2TB/10TB offer like the 3TB BF offer ($2.5/TB + GB Ram)?

No exact ETA on the transfers yet, but possibly in early/mid June.

It's not possible to change specs of these servers for the moment. Maybe we will offer that option in the future though :)

Thanks for your help. It becomes one server with 30G rather than 20G disk after about 7 days TK.

I think HostHatch do have an internal network there, they don't have a private network anywhere though AFAIK ("private" in the sense that the only devices on the network are your own VPSes, like what BuyVM does)

Yes, but @hosthatch said that they would have it ready by Q1 2021 during the BF sale.

Oh! I didn't see that. I could reduce CPU usage by not using a VPN for as many things if they were to add private networking support. Right now I encrypt all the traffic between my VPSes via a WireGuard VPN.

Not just that, it can be used to setup a small VPS running pfsense in front of your other VPS to run your own private cloud.

Where did you see private networking? I would like to re-read it. I thought they were talking internal networking not private networks for each customer.

It was on the BF thread , but I'm not going through the entire thread to find the post.
I don't remember if he said Q1 21 or H1 2021 though. But it was definitely posted in response to people(including me) saying how much of a security risk the current implementation is.

  • So this thread is about done, and yet - I just noticed that there is a bunny emoji at the end of the title :joy: way to pay attention, me..

We might do something next week if we have any space left :)

In the process of upgrading our Amsterdam network to 40G at the moment, which should be completed by Tuesday hopefully.
