    Yes.....

I will not be as active on this thread for now since the promotion is over and everything has already been answered multiple times, will check back once in a while.

  • Give this man a Nobel... for patience.
    I'm impressed AF.

I keep on refreshing this thread every 2 or 3 hours, just intend to see what @Falzo would say to all those newly created silly posts....

What was your ticket about? Looks like there are some categories that are treated as low priority right now: free upgrades for old BF deals and customized servers. For me Billing questions are also left unresolved.
Also @hosthatch mentioned that he made a rule to himself to not prioritize any tickets mentioned to him on LET.

Black Friday last year I buy 1 TB usable storage $40. This year's black Friday I buy 1 TB usable storage $30. I don't want to take time to transfer data, can retain the black Friday last year to buy 1 TB usable storage, and change the bill to $30 each year, thank you

    @hosthatch

Why not create a ticket and give them a couple weeks to respond, like everyone else?

Thank you, but I don't know much about it

    Reading is a noble art

  • my account has funds attached to an invoice on a storage server I let lapse - so my balance appears to be less than the BF nvme cost

  • okay okay, here is one...

everyone in this thread be like:

    proper response to that:

i have create vps from hosthatch manager, but wait for manual confirmation, it's inconvenient. I will use all money deposit and goodbye hosthacth. A provider with many datacenter but lack of professionalism, although i have been using vps here since 2012.

after four days (from friday) i received my two ordered servers.
great performance upgrade debian was really quick. great bandwidth.

unfortunately the swiss servers only have one nederland (country assignment) ip.
I can't do anything with the servers.

You can idle them or shut them down and wait out the billing period

    ok

  • @Whoa said: Mounting any of the ISOs and rebooting doesn't change anything - still the same error as before.

So if you mount an ISO it doesn't try to boot off of it? Have you changed the boot order so ISO is before Hard Drive?

Yes. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

I've tried all the 4 boot orders (hdd, iso, iso->hdd, hdd->iso)

The VM remains stuck with this error (can see this from noVNC console) -

    Booting from Hard Disk...
    error: invalid arch-independent ELF magic.
    Entering rescue mode...
    grub rescue>

I also have that issue for one of my VMs. Ill wait with creating a ticket once all VMs are provisioned though, so that potentially all of the issues can be fixed at once.

That's actually a good idea. Didn't think of that. :/
Hopefully, my 2 other VMs will be created fine and I won't have to bother support again for those.

  • Updated models (Debian 10 | Ubuntu 20) would help a lot to alleviate this problem.

Extremely strange they don't have templates for those.

There are some servers that have the disabled reinstall/ISO feature by mistake in our control panel, such as the cases above with the grub screens.

If you did not open a ticket - we will get it resolved by today's end, just so you are aware.

If you already opened a ticket - we will get update you once we have it resolved, by today's end.

  • It's possible to install windows 2012 ?

Mine used to have same problem, wouldn't reinstall, not working with ISO. I've submitted a ticket regarding it yesterday. But I just noticed the reinstall worked about two hours ago. So I closed the ticket. I guess the issue of my VPS's node has already been fixed.

I've just tried it now and have been able to boot my server using an ISO as well.
So I've also gone ahead and closed my ticket.

You can upload a Windows Server 2012 ISO but I don't know about the legality of that. You'd have to acquire a valid license yourself.
