Buffalo, land of infinite servers - KVM
Someone help this poor VirMach deal victim: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/153948/is-there-a-way-to-deploy-a-iscsi-or-nfs-for-virmach-special-offer-vps#latest
Frankfurt
Very large ram, cpu, ssd - naturally, it's OpenVZ.
Ok, @VirMach
That IS in the correct country.
But come on, that's not what I had in mindy when I asked! :-(
Pretty nice one... if only it was a KVM!
@donli You need to pry yourself from your chair, have you moved in days? lol I went nuts on the early bunch of pages and you've been busy since I stopped :P
Donli my man posting like there's no tomorrow.
Your turn. I'm going to sleep.
Got one for 80.66
Lol ok, get some rest @donli, I should be up for a while anyway. Doing some other stuff but should be able to keep up on the offers if no one else is

but the "KVM SPECIAL 4" in special offers is better and cheaper....
@donli need to post to get the minimum post requirement for the provider tag.
I don't question his reasons.
Do you guys know what can be expected regarding CPU power on the KVMs? Any geekbenches? Thanks
It can vary on the machines. I'll run a couple here in a few mins

Is the CPU 267MHz?

Buffalo BF 2017 - 4 cores / 8gb ram / 100gb ssd https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/11004833
The other KVM I have only has 128mb of ram and it crapped itself on the geekbench because of that lol
Also note that I'm running Xanmod kernels and didn't shutdown any services, though systems should have been mostly idle, so your own results may be different.

@badhon_raj I believe there were some offers that came up at the wrong cpu values, I'd put in a ticket and show them, I'm guessing you got one of them

Interesting - how come the difference in single-core performance?
Because those are diff servers, with diff processors?![:D :D](https://lowendtalk.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
The Dallas one may be a newer system as it's from this BF. The Buffalo one is from last year during BF, I managed to grab one of the $18/year limited ones so is an older host system. That's my guess anyway. Though like I said, i didn't shut down services either and the 2017 one has a lot more services installed & running. And as I just noticed, also running a slightly older version of xanmod (needs a reboot for new one). They are both running xanmod kernel 4.19.x and Debian so if you are running stock Debian or Ubuntu kernels it may vary as well.
