    Dallas BF 2018 - 1 core / 2gb ram / 10gb ssd https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/11004820

    Buffalo BF 2017 - 4 cores / 8gb ram / 100gb ssd https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/11004833

The other KVM I have only has 128mb of ram and it crapped itself on the geekbench because of that lol

Also note that I'm running Xanmod kernels and didn't shutdown any services, though systems should have been mostly idle, so your own results may be different.

  • @badhon_raj I believe there were some offers that came up at the wrong cpu values, I'd put in a ticket and show them, I'm guessing you got one of them

Interesting - how come the difference in single-core performance?

  • southy said: Interesting - how come the difference in single-core performance?

Because those are diff servers, with diff processors? :D

    Thanked by 1southy
  • The Dallas one may be a newer system as it's from this BF. The Buffalo one is from last year during BF, I managed to grab one of the $18/year limited ones so is an older host system. That's my guess anyway. Though like I said, i didn't shut down services either and the 2017 one has a lot more services installed & running. And as I just noticed, also running a slightly older version of xanmod (needs a reboot for new one). They are both running xanmod kernel 4.19.x and Debian so if you are running stock Debian or Ubuntu kernels it may vary as well.
