  • Do you have a Windows 2003 ISO, or can I upload mine ?

    Thanks

  • netomxnetomx Moderator, Veteran

    Still waiting for mine

    Thats good to hear :p

Can you give me the specs of the servers?

    Dual Socket AMD Opteron 6262HE
    64 GB DDR3-1333MHz ECC RAM
    Western Digital 10k RPM HDDs
    HW Raid

  • Got my VPS (on server 5). Unfortunately the Windows images are not complete (no 32 bit Windows versions: Win2008 or Win2003).

But the 64-bit Windows that are enlisted don't work. Christopher promised to fix it. Keeping my fingers crossed...

The ISO Bug is fixed now.
32BIT installers and Windows Server 2012 & 2003 will follow

Unfortunately it seems it has not been fixed yet:

this is exactly what I do in the control panel:
    1. I stop the VPS
    2. In the boot settings ('Boot-Einstellungen') I selected a Windows ISO and click 'Anwenden'
    3. I start the VPS
    4. I open the KVM window and it seems its loading GRUB.

UPDATE: now I can selected a German version of Windows using F12. Can't select all Windows ISO's though. I will wait a few more hours. Thanks

    Windows Installation Guide:

    1) Mount your Windows installation disc.

    2) Do the setup till the point with the partitions.

    3) Mount "Windows VIRTIOTreiber" and select the 1st entry.

    4) Delete all partions and make a big one.

    5) Mount again your Windows installtion disc.

    6) Make your partions.

    7) Do the setup. Finished :)

For the network settings, you have to use the settings in the control panel. Because DHCP is deactivated.

  • Server dispatched, working OK, thanks.

The only problem: I can't select listed CentOS 6.x images to reinstall the VM. I am still booting from Debian 7.1.

  • Weird, I saw my VPS is running now but I never receive any emails, neither in my junk.

Strange. Are server controls available from 'My Products' section of dashboard?

Just use the Win 2008 R2 Image. In the setup you can select Web Edition. At least in the german one.

  • @trexos: thanks but I need a 32-bit version and Windows R2 are all 64-bit ...

  • I guess Christopher is resting because nothing has been done for this yet .... :-(

Perhaps it could be useful if we could mount our own ISO's :-)

Tell me if it is good or not

  • I'm quite satisfied with my VPS. Only the disk isn't so fast. Write speed was 40MB/s. Do I have to worry?
