VAT is automatically added/removed based on your location. KS might want to verify your address before removing VAT though.

I opened a ticket and then sent a copy of my ID and recent bill with my address on it and my ovh order # and user ID to one of ovh's validation email addresses and about 1 week later I got an email saying they removed VAT and refunded the VAT I was charged (my ticket was never replied to though lol, they only replied to the email I sent).

Could it be linked to the region your account is in?

This is what I was thinking. Setup fee for me (US).

  • layfonlayfon Member

Setup fee seems to apply to all following orders.

    Such Speed from Canada.

Thanks, wow, I have one of these for 8 or 9 eur/month, don't need another, and can't order one from here anyway. They'll probably be gone by tonight when I can order. But I don't need another anyway. Must resist...

You can never have too much cheap storage, amirite?

  • Can I push 100mbps 24/7 on this?

  • RDXRDX Member

The setup fee was not removed, but lucked out to have a 2Tb drive. No complaints at all.

Almost like it didn't already advertise 2TB to begin with.

The invoice I did for testing purpose this morning did not include any setup fees. Now, I just refreshed it, and BAM! Setup fees!

We live in a strange world...

Still a great deal... if you had a use for it, those setup fees would be trivial.

2.5 years - that's basically a new drive. Also I wish I could kindly remind you to be realistic and consider the price of this offer by coming up to you from behind and breaking a chair onto your head for your needy capricious crybaby "jikes".

For a Kimsufi that's actually below par. Most disks are delivered with 30K+ hours.

I also got 22,000 hours drives with my SoyouStart machine and it cost $70/mo ...

    Now, stop complaining!

  • Now seriously, how many hours are the expected average life of those HGST enterprise SATA drives? I have a desktop IDE drive that has 33k hours / 9 years use, and still working perfectly.
