50k hours is over 5 years. That's not fine at all for me, not in production

    Care to elaborate why? :)

I'm more like a technical guy, explain it to me with numbers not with bad metaphores.

Usain Bolt can sprint 100 meters in 9.58 seconds.

A grandpa can do it in like 30 seconds.

    Is that better?

So you tell me disks with 50k+ hours are 3 times slower than factory new?

No, I'm telling you Usain Bolt is 3 times faster than a typical gramps.

Still haven't been able to do the GSM verifications. Third world problems. ;(

  • €16.99 /month - only first month and later €35.99 ?

  • @varunchopra - reach out to online.net support (either phone/email) and request for your GSM phone to be validated (usually via your subscriber pin). That should do the trick (after which orders can be placed).

Don't worry about it as long as you use RAID 1 - if one fails it will be replaced.

Wanted to avoid calling because roaming.

Made a ticket, got a call, saw France and a bit of me died on the inside. 10/10 response time though.

  • Had one of the initial batch with a failing 2TB drive. It got replaced in under 2 days. Could've been faster if I pushed a bit, but I wasn't in any kind of rush anyway.

Okay, thanks. I've got same disk, but with 1500 hours. I wonder why they throw so new servers into special deals along with 5yr+ old hardware.

If they used brand new drives in all of these discount deals they wouldn't cover their costs realistically for a few years - Used hardware is to be expected in my opinion. Kimsufi/SYS etc are the same.
