I would like to buy a vowel and solve: NOPE.
I was one time with gvh, they suck. Enough said.
I lol'd. Cheers, mate!
Now it's the drunk TF2 demoman's accent xD
lol!
Lol, the Nr. 1 search result
That should help you decide.
To be on-topic. @OP, what are your requirements and what is your budget?
go GVH if you want to have a VM that is offline and doesnt work
go CVPS if you want a VM thats online and doesnt work
Ha! I lol'ed! :-)
That's brilliant.
I read a lot of negative things about CVPS, but personally don't have any problems with CVPS yet. Both tickets I opened in last year were answered and resolved promptly and also not some drastic downtimes in NJ yet.
On the other hand I don't dare to try GVH.
Ohh chris, then please explain to me why more shitty hosts, such as yourself and GVH use CC. Why do I constantly have issues with CC based companies. Why did suddenly bluevm loose a whole network of IPS? Why is LET almost never up anymore? All in all, CCs network is actually pretty meh. Nothing really great about it from my many years using them.
Honestly I have had better experience in the VPS market with WSI/Datashack.
For the sake of argument, I would give you a VM to see for yourself that not all hosting companies that use/colocate with ColoCrossing are bad
Edit: Free for a month (or maybe a bit more?) so you see for yourself. No strings attached, just to prove a point.
@Mun: So PM me if you're willing to take on this offer.
That actually made my day lol
+1
Definately CVPS over GVH.
I have a VPS in Atlanta with CVPS, it wont win any awards but it's reasonably stable, node reboots without warning now and then but overall ok, I use it for testing things that are not private or uptime is a concern, works just fine for that.
LOL!!!! Best comment yet.
This is GVH's speed at AMS:
Which, to be honest, tells us nothing at all about the quality of their VPS offering there. It just shows a snapshot in time of the network situation of their partner DC. Just like all those
Does any one have the disk i/o test done with GVH recently?
I had some credit with them dont know how to use it, they are not refunding it forcing me to run with them
root@*******:~# dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
^C9883+0 records in
9883+0 records out
647692288 bytes (648 MB) copied, 540.435 s, 1.2 MB/s
Ended up stopping it since it appeared to be frozen
I think that's the lowest I've ever seen on any box ever
To be fair, the results went back to around 20-50MB/s about 10 minutes later.
@DalekOfSkaro you and Jon from GVH seem to have allot in common. You're both delusional and you both seem to enjoy eating the same piece of bratwurst. Do you guys compare / exchange notes or something? Because you're about an inch away from following him into ridicule and there is no coming back from that.
For anyone else wondering what I'm talking about, have a quick glance at this and then compare to the comments that @DalekOfSkaro posts on LET:

Just found this golden nugget: http://goo.gl/e2MgWM
Please refrain from attacking people like this without evidence.
I'm not quite sure how @DalekOfSkaro is wrong here, he and Jon are completely different people. Maybe you weren't here when Jon was posting, but I was. He posted vile things, most of which were soon edited afterwards. He claimed that his nodes had "100% uptime" and lied countless times. @DalekOfSkaro has been a good contributor and has a clean record on here. Simply offering from CC is not a bad thing.
I was referring to how stupid some of his posts are. Just read them across multiple threads and judge for yourself. He acts like a drone, especially when it comes to his upstream.
