No I'm not ready. I didn't know I had to get ready. What do I have to do to get ready? Is there some grueling test that I have to take?
Sure but its out of stock!
Wait.. what did I miss...?

Beta release of LES in Japan.
No test, only get your paypal account ready.
Still in Beta release, only a handfull have received one so far.
Aw, why wasn't I aware Bummer.
Because you are not a frequent visitor to the LES forum.
omg I feel under pressure now!
big thanks to @rm_ who gave me an alternative host if this beta fails for any reason.
I also.want to.make it abundantly clear due to it being impossible to find a dedi with the right resources and native ipv6 the only way I can launch japan is with it being nested inside a large vps instance.
current trial is In vultr tokyo probable end location will be linode I am looking at ways to run them side by side to add a bit of redundancy.
@AnthonySmith
You said you needed a "kick in the ass" to get started again.
indeed, I got the inter node nat sorted yesterday (took 8 hours) just need to connect up italy and dallas and all les boxes will essentially on the same lan by using softether.
Is it possible to have openvz on vultr? Isn't that fake kvm?
Some people call this slabbing and it is possible.
He probably installed OpenVZ inside a Vultr Japan box with DNAT and SNAT setup.
Ok. I think i will use my $20 Credit to try out that then :P
Would this tutorial work on vultr? http://www.boxcontrol.net/openvz-on-centos-6-digital-ocean-kvm-host.html
Both are fake kvm..
Don't honestly know, but giving it a try would only cost you a cent or two.
I will try it out..
not sure what you mean by fake kvm, DO use nested kernels making it horrible gor this sort of thing while vultr let you use your own.
essentially that guide covers most of it though.
Looking forward to LES inside Linode Japan.
Thanks Will try that out. But they don't offer ipv6, right?
You can use kexec on DO. It's very easy to set up and lets you reboot into any custom kernel. https://www.alextomkins.com/2013/11/digitalocean-debian-kernel/
Are you sure on the 50GB bandwidth? Japan bandwidth is expensive and looking at Vultr pricing, it is nowhere near €3/year LES pricing even with overselling. Linode seems more forgiving, though.
yep overages have been budgeted for, linode may be the final destination but the guys at vultr have also been good to workwith
TAKE MY MONEY @AnthonySmith
Count me in if you go with linode finally.
...there's an LES forum... Well I feel out of the loop..
so, slabbing?
@AnthonySmith YEAAAAAAH
Well As I am not piling multiple OVZ instances inside 1 hardware node myself I would consider it nesting not slabbing.
Saw these in the week when I was checking up on the status of LES Japan, all sold out by the time I saw though.
I'm guessing you're not interested in doing pre-orders, @AnthonySmith?
