Yeah thats a fair point..
Most billing departments don't usually work on weekends for data centers. Servers get automatically suspended mostly. They only have support up and running 24/7. If there was a billing issue this problem could have been addressed in a different more decent manner than keep lying about technical problems and other. I know it is hard to keep saying for about 5 days "Our servers got suspended for delayed payment" but people would have calmed down a bit instead of bursting in this huge problem.
Despite the nasty situation, I hope everyone gets their stuff back soon and spirits calm down.
But IPs dont get reassigned. It looks like the DC had enough waiting for the money promised a few times over.
We don't know, or I personally don't know the policy for that data center. Maybe they have this awesome system that takes servers off the network and puts the IPs back in the general pool(or quarantine) and redoes all reverse DNS to generic ones.

Yes and no, SingleHOP has a history of dodgy IP recycling.
Imagine this is the case. Some big company payment officer gets sick and the one keeping his place misses the payment by one day. All servers get pulled off, rDNS reassigned, all data lost.

@Maounique : Servers get pulled off the network not completely deleted. No data loss there. Most of the datacenters keep them on but with just no network for a little while after.
ok I am calling deadpool on this regardless. even if he gets the servers online the business is ruined and he will be starting again.
I also suggest a 6 month ban on posting offers if anyone does not get a refund.

Did the IPs really get reassigned or did they just change back to generic rDNS?
The rDNS now says 'unassigned.ord.singlehop.net' before the IP and the servers aren't up. Occam's Razor suggests that the truth is probably the path which needs the least assumptions - I think that in this case is that the IPs have been reassigned.
Just saying, it never looks good when a host defends a deadpooler...
If you are referring to me ... I'm not defending anyone. I'm just saying some of the assumptions go way to far. (see the FBI scenario)
It is needed in cases when things are blown out of proportions. What if someone makes a thread ans says his vps is down for 10 hours, Backupsy is deadpooling?
You must defend what you believe in, no matter your quality in here, if you do not, that is nothing more than a lie, selling your soul for tenure and image, ultimately, money.
