    I opened this ticket because my M1000 DDoS Recovery Special seedbox was downloading torrents painfully slowly, usually around 1–3 MiB/s.

    At first, I wanted to find out whether the problem was my torrent port, the network, or the server itself. Väinämöinen investigated the rTorrent port and confirmed that it was reachable from outside, with connections being established. So a closed port wasn't the explanation.

    The investigation then became more interesting. Väinämöinen found evidence of disk-write delays and heavy shared-storage I/O wait. I supplied additional HTTP download tests and server load measurements, which helped distinguish basic network connectivity from the performance bottleneck affecting my torrents.

    It was a useful troubleshooting lesson: a torrent client can have a working incoming port and still perform poorly when the shared server's storage is under pressure. The ticket helped me understand what the diagnostics could confirm, what they couldn't prove, and why node-level contention matters so much for seedbox performance.

    Definitely a memorable Väinämöinen troubleshooting session!

    I think I am one of the few PM users who has liked the service thus far a lot for what it offers and also for limiting my expectations to the ground reality. Plus the AI hasn't been too bad with what it had on offer. People were expecting the AI to perform as good as Opus but even the original models from OpenAI took time to get into stride.

    Before someone says in an offtopic thread that I am one of the shills of @PulsedMedia I would just clarify that I am being unbiased here.

    PM's EV line is definitely not the best service out there but it sure is doing its job decently and at prices unseen for a long time.
