Why ask $1.00/mo per IP while doing the order but mention "Free additional IPs available upon request at no extra cost." in your first post?
No offense, it’s none of my business, but I’m just curious
You have a dedicated server purchased from DataForest, right?
You said "protect our infrastructure" Which infrastructure are you referring to? Probably the one belonging to DataForest
There is no such term as "traffic abuse" You’ve allocated 10 TB of monthly traffic to the "tralala" VPS; what happens once that 10 TB limit is reached? Do you suspend the service, or do you talk to the client about paying extra for additional traffic?
Once you have allocated 10 TB for the Tralala package, the client is free to do whatever they wish with that 10 TB they could even use it all up in a single day, But what if the client doesn't use the full 10 TB, and only consumes 1 TB in a month? Do you refund them for the 9 TB difference, or do you carry it over to the next month?
I understand that Dataforest charges you based on traffic which is only fair so, in turn, you should charge those who consume that traffic.
Unfortunately, you are new to this very tough industry. I’ve noticed the pricing for your packages they are quite expensive, especially considering that OVH or any other provider could offer the same (or even greater) resources at a much lower cost. On top of that, you’re complaining about a daily usage of 30 TB... whereas we consume between 60- 70 PB per month and daily we have between 1.3 and 1.6 PB......
Can I get a PB of traffic
I am living proof: I used two VPS instances here, and once my usage exceeded 35TB in a week, they locked my accounts and stopped responding altogether. Please think carefully before purchasing a VPS from this provider.
Do you consider 35TB of bandwidth usage in one week to be fair usage? This has caused DataForest.net to contact us, and we have incurred additional bandwidth costs. Our fair usage policy allows for reasonable usage, but 35TB in just 7 days is excessive. We expect usage to remain within reasonable limits, rather than reaching such high levels in a short period.
The additional IPs were initially free but people started abusing the system Even when they didnt actually need the extra IPs they would still order them We tried contacting some customers to ask why they were ordering so many additional IPs and their response was simply "I didnt know I just ordered them" This is exactly why we had to reconsider how we offer free IPs and put a price on additional IPs but in reality you can simply open a ticket and give us a reason and you can still get them for free
Then how much bandwidth usage do you consider reasonable?
We have no way of knowing what you consider “reasonable” unless you, as the provider, clearly define it.
Please specify a concrete limit in TB rather than relying on vague terms like “reasonable usage.”
@YassineB
I've been reading your replies, and there are several technical points that still havent been addressed.
u mentioned that DataForest contacted you cuz a customer consumed 35TB in a week, resulting in additional bandwidth costs.
35TB over seven days is roughly 463Mbps sustained. That's certainly significant for a budget VPS, but considering you're advertising 10Gbps connectivity, how is ur upstream bandwidth actually provisioned? Are you paying DataForest based on 95th percentile, a fixed monthly traffic allowance, or committed bandwidth capacity?
Was the problem actual network congestion, an upstream contractual limitation, or simply that the customer's usage became more expensive than you anticipated?
Also, when you advertise 10Gbps, is that the physical port speed shared by all VMs on the node, or is there any guaranteed bandwidth commitment per VPS? Are you applying per VM rate limits, or can a single VM utilize the full available port capacity when the network isn't congested?
Another thing that doesnt make sense is your definition of dedicated CPU cores.
ur using Ryzen 9 9950X processors with 16 physical cores and 32 threads. When u sell dedicated cores, are u exclusively pinning physical cores to individual VMs, assigning SMT threads, or simply allocating vCPUs through the hypervisor scheduler? If those resources are genuinely dedicated, why would running them at 100% continuously be considered abuse? And if the customer isnt allowed to fully utilize the advertised cores, what exactly makes the product different from a shared CPU VPS? How many dedicated vCPUs are you allocating per physical 9950X node? Are you oversubscribing the CPU, and are SMT sibling threads isolated between customers? If two customers are assigned sibling threads of the same physical core, are you still advertising both allocations as dedicated cores? Regarding bandwidth, you mentioned that 35TB in seven days was excessive. What exactly is the acceptable amount?
let's say a customer purchases a package with 10TB of monthly traffic. Can they transfer all 10TB in a single day, assuming they remain within the advertised port speed and aren't causing network disruption? Or do you have additional daily bandwidth limits that aren't mentioned in the package? ( cuz i met a provider like that before )
And for packages advertised with unlimited traffic under fair usage, is that fair usage determined by total transfer, sustained Mbps, 95th percentile utilization, or something else? What specific threshold triggers a warning, throttling, or suspension? There's also a difference between a customer exceeding their purchased allocation and a provider discovering that the purchased allocation costs more to deliver than expected.
since you mentioned DataForest contacting you about bandwidth consumption, are you renting complete dedicated servers with bundled traffic allowances, or are you purchasing network capacity separately? And if DataForest is supplying the underlying physical servers, how are you managing CPU allocation, network contention, and capacity guarantees across your VPS customers? When a customer reaches ur internal bandwidth or CPU threshold, do you throttle the VM, suspend the service immediately, or provide a warning first? And where are those thresholds documented in the terms customers agree to before ordering?
So qualify what "reasonable" usage would be in your offer, instead of the deceptive marketing.
yes!
as long as “fair” isn't defined, 35 TB a month is absolutely fine!
35TB = Abuse
@averagedatahoarder = ............?
35 TB per month is fine, but using 35 TB in just one week is a different story
Could you please reply to the message ? I'd really appreciate a detailed response addressing the points I mentioned. Thanks
I genuinely think this website is not for you.

Everyone is telling you you are wrong, and your response is calling everyone an abuser.
This is what the usage looked like on my last VPS (I have no other VM's atm) -
Be fucking glad if you have a customer like me paying for 8 vCores and using 2.5% at peak.
Remove false statements from your website (DEDICATED CORES), and be clear with your FUP, or take criticism like the man you think you are.
For what he does, there are no dedicated cores for each VPS; on a dedicated server for instance, one with a Ryzen 9 9950X he allocates 20–30 VPS instances, each using virtual (not physical) CPU resources. As for the issue of "abuse," consider this: what happens if all 20 VPS instances push their CPU usage to 100%?
that’s why he keeps harping on ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE, If all 20 VPSs were to utilize 90–95% of the processor resources allocated to them, that dedicated server would crash within seconds
And regarding the bandwidth connection with DataForest we can purchase servers directly from DataForest, so why would I buy from you, a reseller? You offer nothing more than the veterans at DataForest do (my respects to DataForest); after all, you’re using their equipment, their network, and you’ve simply acquired an ASN and leased an IPv4 address that doesn’t constitute a hosting service.
Are you planning to eat the 10 GB connection.... Why even offer a 10 GB connection if you’re going to shout and complain about traffic abuse...
Fastest crash and burn for a new provider?
Their ToS says nothing about Fair Usage. Archived just in case: https://archive.ph/WSegz
From their Acceptable Use Policy, which you've also archived via that link:

I just think they should be upfront about the limits, rather than vague and then confrontational when asked to qualify it.
anyway:
تحية لاهل المغرب
greetings to morocco people
Fake Unlimited Bandwidth Hall of Limitation
Unmetered bandwidth should be truly unmetered or not marketed as such.
What's coupon code for VPS Package 5?
Someone in need would have better used this dedi.
In short, this is a completely nonsensical service; I’ve already resigned myself to the loss of my money. everyone else, please be careful.
Thank you!
