    Are there any updates?

In your profile, you say that you work for VSYS:

what is the name of the hosting provider you work for? Vsys

If true, then shouldn't you know whether there are any updates?

I point at the moon, and the fool looks at my finger.

Ah, so you (also a fool?) don't work for VSYS after all

It’s becoming genuinely annoying to keep reading the same

Can say same about your whines. If you had backups, neither had to be in this situation. Thank you for your ignorance!

Backups again—it’s always the same thing. Clearly, you aren’t even reading what this is actually about. Please stop exploiting the situation for your own ends. With comments like these, you can be certain that no one is going to buy a VPS from you.

    have nice day

Hmm, choice between a provider who takes backups seriously or one that doesn't, hmm, it's a fucking toss up.

    Hello,

    Are there any updates?

Is there anyone here who has more than 40 servers with VSYS and has managed to get all of them back online?

I personally have more than 60 servers, and so far, only 5 have been restored.

The biggest problem is their lack of communication. They seem to have only three standard sentences that they repeat in every support ticket we open.

Two weeks ago, they assured us that everything would be back to normal within three weeks. We are now entering the third week, and there has been no significant progress or change.

What is even more frustrating is that they don't seem to understand or appreciate the difficulties we are facing with our customers and resellers.

They keep telling us that we need to wait for a response from the Sales or Billing Department.

Despite the exceptional circumstances, which clearly require teams to be available 24/7, these departments are only available during regular business hours, from Monday to Thursday.

Does this make any sense? How can a company manage an exceptional crisis of this magnitude while operating on a normal business schedule?

This is not a routine situation. This is a major crisis affecting businesses, customers, and reputations.

We urgently need clear answers, transparency, and concrete updates from your side.

How much longer are we supposed to wait without any real progress or reliable information?

One week. You said so when they told you three weeks and it hasn't been three weeks. What part did you have trouble with?

We've all seen the moon. You might have a fucked up finger or something.

  • I still haven't received a response to the ticket I submitted on the 15th. How much longer is it going to take to get an answer this time? It feels like I can't get any reply unless I submit my ticket number here. Even if I ask for a response here, it's impossible to know when an admin will actually review it. Even if the server is restored, I strongly doubt whether we will get proper service.

  • So the weekend has ended and what I was told in the ticket that I would have access to my data didn't happen. I was asked not to write here and to send any questions through a ticket instead. I did, and I got a response after two days, only to be told to wait for the specialized agent to reach out. Meanwhile, days keep passing on a server I didn't ask for, because it's useless to me without my data. I didn’t ask for a new server, I only asked for my data. I hope this can be resolved. We are just four days away from a full month since the incident which I know wasn't VSYS's fault, but it wasn't mine either. The one losing billed days is me, and the one losing their project is me.

Well, they are facing one right now unprepared with no disaster recovery plan, redundant deployment or offsite backups available.

    Really?! Really?! Still?

Buddy, if you had a boss, you'd realize just how much this is your fault. Because you'd not hear the end of it, ever.

I regret having to live on the same Earth as people like you. Are you really so useless that all you do is consume this planet’s resources and contribute to polluting our atmosphere?

  • Please answer ticket : #7721107

  • Another day goes by where what was promised hasn't been fulfilled. My billing cycle keeps running for a server I didn't ask for. It seems like you're trying to let my prepaid billing run out so you no longer have any responsibility. A new server is useless to me without my data it makes no sense. We are four days away from a full month, and most of us are in the same situation, receiving promises with no actions to back them up.

You're asking the person who is telling people they're doing it wrong instead of the people doing it wrong?

You're backwards, dude. What cunt actively seeks to not want others to improve and stop whining about things they're responsible for? Fuck off.

Were you not begging for urgent updates which forced them to give you inaccurate estimates in the first place?

VSYS states in their announcement that they will inform us of the situation through tickets and will check and reply via tickets, but they don't even check them.

They claim that over half of the users have already received their data, but I find it hard to trust. There has been zero response to my ticket for 5 days now. Last time as well, it took 5 days just to get a generic template response.

Nothing has been updated since the initial server status note on September 30th. Exactly how are they supposed to be keeping us informed?

Why do they even say things like that when they don't even check the tickets?

I'm in the exact same boat. They said one thing and didn't follow through. They gave me a server I didn't ask for, and my prepaid billing cycle has already started running down even though I was clear and told them it's useless to me without access to my data. It's sketchy, and now they aren't even replying to tickets or updating status reports. As you mentioned, they claim they're delivering or resolving issues, but all you see are complaints. We are 3 days away from a full month, and we're still stuck like day 1 with nothing but false promises. Their trolls here give more updates jumping in as soon as anyone posts something negative. But well, let's hope they 'resolve' it, even though confidence and seriousness are fading away by the day.

  • I'm curious what both of you would do if they came back and said your servers actually took some shrapnel and cannot be recovered.

What did you do over the last four weeks that prepared you for the moment where nothing is recoverable? Would you have been back up and running by now? How long will it take to get back running from scratch?

What I'm talking about is basic communication with customers. They tell us to ask via tickets, but even after a long time passes, there is no response. They promised to continuously update us on the situation, but there hasn't been a single update since the initial note on September 30th. In public announcements that everyone sees, they claim they will explain details through support tickets, but the tickets are completely useless. It's the same with the unauthorized server billings that another user mentioned here. Because VSYS is unreachable, ongoing damages are continuously piling up.

At least the VSYS representative who posts comments on this board replied to my ticket just once a week ago, but other than that person, no one else is helping with tickets at all.

  • All servers have been restored. I had up to eight servers across DC1 and DC2. Only one server still needs to be restored, and then we will be back to full capacity.

A special thanks to VSYS for their support and assistance in restoring the servers!

I think the recovery process is taking longer for others because the servers are being restored step by step.

    Thank you, everyone!

  • Hi @vsys_host,

I've been waiting patiently and didn't want to add more pressure on your team. Now that recoveries are finally coming through, I'd like to kindly ask about my case.

It's really good to see @caccamo, @olerska and @cockli getting their data back. Great!

My ticket number is #1159943 or #3998599. I'd be grateful if you could take a look when you have a moment and let me know where my server stands and when I can expect access to my data.

Thank you, Kristina and the whole team 💙💛

You have been informed already on the status, now be silent and wait. Barking non-stop like a dog won't change anything. Eventually your server will be back online or replaced, there is nothing else to inform.

  • I’ve been waiting for a long time after submitting my ticket, but I keep getting only AI-generated replies. Kristina, could you please help me with this?

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the silence over the past week. I was fully focused on restoring services and handling tickets. I’m back now and catching up on everything here.

For those who missed it, we published an update on our website on October 19: https://vsys.host/news/recovery-update-servers-and-data-returning-new-locations-coming

In short: recovery is moving forward step by step. Many servers are already back online, more and more clients are getting their data back, and most of those who chose to move to another location have already received their replacement servers. Large storage servers are taking a bit longer because of the amount of data, and their owners get updates directly in their tickets.

All downtime days are added to the billing period of affected services, and every affected client also gets a free backup storage service for 3 months once their service is restored.

Servers in our existing locations, including the Netherlands, Canada and the US, are already in stock and available to order. We’re also preparing to open orders in our new secure location in Ukraine and in our new location in Warsaw.

From now on I’ll be here more often, and I’ll check this thread and reply to your questions. If there’s anything specific you’d like to know, just ask, I’m here.

Below, I’ll reply to everything I missed.

This is extremely urgent. Please check my private message. The connected server is not mine—it's an entirely wrong server.
