We have HKIX direct connections to around 400 peers, including google, cloudflare, aws, microsoft, meta, Netflix, etc all the big names. In addition, we have several additional IP transit providers to fill those unreachable via HKIX. They are currently AS6939, AS24077, and AS9304, plus one more AS for premium China direct transit. Currently, the premium China transit is not available to cloud services, and is reserved for select customer only, due to the price of direct transit to china.

I've been planning to use a VPS along with some IOT edge work I've been working on with some development boards I have in projects used for edge AI models connecting to a VPS for central database between boards.

Question about AS4658: since this VPS sits right next to HKIX, how is routing to mainland China (Telecom / Unicom / Mobile) in practice — direct peering or via transit? Is IPv6 fully supported as well?
My planned use: a lightweight personal monitoring + WireGuard node in Hong Kong, to check latency and reachability of my small self-hosted services from an HK vantage point — hard to get at this price.

I'm planning to use the VPS for learning some Linux features and then maybe for a production.
Basically I would like to use it to monitor my nodes and servers.
AND
I also want to test and play arround with geo dns in the powerdns environment, to learn how it's been used, how to configure, improve page speed of specific sites (having a docker container directly on the same node for first response time reductions and so on). This will be the most far away server from my current infra. - so basically perfect
