I’d use the VPS as a private access node for my own devices and servers, host an independent status and announcements page, and monitor the uptime of my other services from Hong Kong. I’d also run some lightweight automation, such as receiving webhooks, scheduled health checks, and notifications. The status page would be especially useful during maintenance or outages on my main server. These are small services I could keep running long term, so the specs look like a good fit.

Quick question: there were previous discussions on other VPS forums alleging that your company was involved in unauthorized IX traffic leaking / peering abuse (forcing outbound return traffic via static routes through IX peers without proper BGP announcements). Could you clarify if there is any truth to this, and what your official response is?

I'd reload $30-$40 to cover for my probable remaining lifetime and use it for VPN/monitoring node/small static page/playground.. anything. Despite being 2026, lot of things can be done with 1 Gb RAM.
