Russia will keep hitting them, that's the main issue
For those who think their dedicated servers won't come up, there is big chance it will but as Vsys said, it needs proper inspection before powering up those DEDI servers.
I had a VPS in that location, Critical data on it, and as they promised, it came online 2 days ago, operational and 0 data loss, I am migrating it to NL location.
Don't pay attention to these angry rumours circling around. They said majority of servers survived, then majority of servers survived! If you can wait please do, but if dont, simply run your disaster recovery plan.
Everyone be a little fair, they got hit by a Missile/Drone!
Don't get your hopes up, 1-2 weeks is the minimum timeframe.
Following the disaster, ITLDC provided timely and frequent updates on recovery progress; once they regained access to the facility, they assisted dedicated server clients with data backups and helped users set up dedicated servers with identical or superior specifications at other data centers. In contrast, VSYS performed poorly in this regard: https://status.itldc.com/incident/188

I don't understand people fiercely defending VSYS. It's a service, and while I know the attack wasn't their fault, it's obvious this recovery process is being poorly managed. Other hosting providers facing the exact same issue already restored their dedicated servers. VSYS, on the other hand, stopped updating their status and isn't even answering support tickets anymore. The least they could do is keep us informed.
Yes, they have been quite poor when it comes to keeping people informed.
It is true that their competitors also experienced outages, but after a few days they moved their services to a different location and brought them back online. At the very least, I think users should be given updates such as “20% of services have now been restored,” so they have some idea of the progress and do not remain uncertain.
I still have not received any response to the support ticket I submitted this morning. They only keep updating the status of the ticket, but no actual information is being provided.
At the very least, there should be one or two updates per day regarding the situation.
I don’t understand how people can defend such inadequate service either. I guess they don’t understand because they haven’t experienced it themselves.
I’m also eager for this to be resolved. I asked if they could tell me whether my dedicated server was in the first or the second data center, and they replied as follows.
Thank you for your kind words and understanding. We truly appreciate it.
Based on the information we have at the moment, your server was located in the data center that remained was severely affected . According to our information, most servers have survived.
We understand how important your data is to you, and we will provide you with further updates regarding your server as soon as we have more information.

Best regards,
VSYS Host Support Team
The whole situation feels very suspicious. Honestly, I see only two possibilities:
The data (or most of it) is completely lost, which is why they stopped updating and replying to tickets.
The recovery is being so poorly managed that they still don't even have a location to place the physical servers. If that’s the case, the bare minimum they should do is keep us informed.
They need to realize that dedicated server clients represent far more revenue than basic VPS instances yet VPS were prioritized first. With this approach, they are forcing dedicated server clients to switch providers as soon as this is resolved.
Nobody expects miracles; we just want STATUS UPDATES so we can make informed decisions for our businesses. The service itself has always been solid that's why I hired them in the first place but their communication and crisis management pale in comparison to other providers who have already recovered.
ITLDC is a big and reputable company
VSYS is a small time hosting provider making a living selling illegal crap nobody wants to touch
you can't be serious comparing those two
it is not VSYS fault at all... not keeping backups is purely your fault. You should have restored elsewhere the moment gets came out already
In your logic, only VSYS and ITLDC were attacked, and zero other hosters. I don't know what's worse—what you said or your reasoning behind it.
Not everybody has the same business model as you. VSYS exists because there's demand for it. Should everyone have offsite backups? Of course, but that's not the point here—your lack of reading comprehension is showing. The issue is how they're addressing the problem:
0 responses to support tickets
0 status updates
Prioritizing VPS over dedicated servers
This is basic: no one is discussing legalities or backup habits here. The whole complaint is about their crisis management. If you lack the reading comprehension for 4 simple lines and just post whatever comes to mind, you're better off moving along to another thread.
Two updates per day? About what? That they're still haven't found a new DC?
Yes, status updates should be provided daily, especially given that competitors have already resumed operations. If a new data center hasn't been found within a week, the company should simply shut down vsys, announce its closure, and cede the business to its competitors. I recommend Maple-Hosting's offshore servers, even though they are a bit pricier.
Starlink Dedicated Service
Starlink Dedicated Service for Enterprise is designed for high-throughput enterprise installations. Starlink says it provides unlimited data with its highest traffic-priority tier, and sites have to be qualified and approved by Starlink Sales. Starlink

just global-layer reseller. And global-layer is not offshore provider, it is just marketing gimmick.
People tried that, putting up multiple starlinks, it doesn't scale like that.
10.00: Still haven't found a new DC
18.00: Still havent't found a new DC
People are of course free to use a competitor, and honestly I don't even understand why they don't.
If/when VSYS come back in some week or months, people can switch back to them then if they want to.
This is probably gonna take a while. And as they said, there's currently no ETA.
And while you're waiting for ETA, use someone else.
Comparisons can be painful. While it may indeed be a case of force majeure, the fact that others managed to handle it while you didn't makes it your problem. Timely disclosure allows users to make informed choices—isn't that the bare minimum? Everyone else is discussing how vsys could have done better, yet you are busy lecturing and blaming the users.
I think you need to re-read my post. I haven't blamed any users. I said I don't understand why they don't use another DC while they're waiting, if they can. Why sit around and wait for VSYS to come back online?
According to their site:
No ETA is no ETA. They can of couse state this twice a day like you asked, maybe even three or four times a day, but that still doesn't change anything.
LOL I would be happy with 10mbps at this point
I will use someone else FOR NOW! but I will be RIGHT back to VSYS because well this was not their fault so why blame them I blame me yes I had a backup server in a different datacenter no one could know BOTH would get knocked out =(*
I mean, if they bombed most of them, how you gonna find one?
Why wouldn't it scale if you used MPTCP?
In addition, you are not the only one who is looking for rack space. When I am correct , there are 4 DCs destroyed. So all of these servers have to be relocated. That’s a tricky situation
Finding a new location shouldn't be that difficult, right? Unless VSYS has dozens of racks that need to be relocated.
It's been several days with basically no status update
support totally dead we are with vsys but they are not with us anymore
itldc.com is also offershore/DMCA ignore hosting?
yes i need
Many people don't even know what dedicated servers are; many have over 100 TB of storage set up and talk as if they could just switch to another provider. Regarding Vsys: the fact that there has been only one update in a week is an absolute outrage—leaving customers in the lurch like this. Option A: They claim the servers were exposed to water (it feels like the servers were destroyed and are no longer usable), but they won't admit it—or rather, they are spreading chaos among customers. Option B: All other hosting providers were attacked too, but they reacted quickly and regained customer trust, whereas Vsys is handling the situation very poorly; tickets aren't being answered, and the chat isn't working at all. We just want information.
